Once In A Lifetime

Hello everyone,

The son of a very good friend is getting married this summer and one of the more interesting things they're doing to renting a very rustic lot at which they'll have a very casual celebration of their nuptials. My friend asked me to see what I could do with for an invitation that would suit the celebration.

The background paper is BasicGrey Oliver layered on Stampin' Up Baja Breeze. The image, Stampin' Up Branch Out, is stamped with a variety of Stampin' Up and Tombow ink on Whisper White. The birds and butterflies are highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment is Stampabilities Changes on Whisper White and layered on Baja Breeze.

I really like this card. It may be just a little too casual for even an exceptionally casual wedding but I leave that up to the happy couple to decide. I'm not necessarily proposing this particular paper but I think that BasicGrey offers such wonderful paper which would work beautifully for this type of card. This has to be one of my most favourite wedding/anniversary sentiments.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

  1. This is pretty cool Gisele. Me? I would have struggled with designing a non-traditional wedding invitation because I am such an inside-the-box thinker (I am trying to branch outside of my comfort zone but it is slow going so far....). But this is such a neat idea! What did the happy couple decide?
I do love the sentiment. Isn't that the best ?!
Love your card. Love the concept. And definitely admire your creativity!
