One Sheet Wonder 5 & 6

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting cards five and six in the traditional Christmas One Sheet Wonder charity cardmaking project

The paper is Close To My Heart - Colonial White, Cranberry, New England Ivy and Mistletoe. There is also two different types of textured Bazzill card stock. Some Stampin' Up Very Vanilla has also been thrown into the mix.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Brushed Gold. The sentiment, Papertrey Ink Signature Christmas, is stamped in Nick Bantock Vermillion Lacquer on Very Vanilla and layered on more Brushed Gold. The embellishments are TPC Studio Wedding Silhouette Mini Jewels.

The sentiment is Penny Black Ornamental Script, stamped Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Opaques.

Another couple of wonderful and super easy Christmas cards. I just love one sheet wonders!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 3 & 4

Here are cards three and four in the traditional Christmas One Sheet Wonder charity cardmaking project

The paper is Close To My Heart - Colonial White, Cranberry, New England Ivy and Mistletoe. There is also two different types of textured Bazzill card stock. Some Stampin' Up Very Vanilla has also been thrown into the mix.

The sentiment is Close To My Heart Christmas Love stamped in Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Sparkles.

The background paper is textured with Sizzix Holly Swirls. The sentiment, Stamp Barn is stamped in Stampin' Up Soft Suede. The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsakes Memories. The card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Again, two very simple layouts which highlight the great Mistletoe paper.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 1 & 2

Hello everyone,

I've completed the traditional Christmas one sheet wonder card project for the charity fundraiser. I love the results. I've plans to do another series of non-traditional Christmas cards that I hope will turn out just as spectacularly.

The paper is Close To My Heart - Colonial White, Cranberry, New England Ivy and Mistletoe. There is also two different types of textured Bazzill card stock. Some Stampin' Up Very Vanilla has also been thrown into the mix.

The sentiment is Stampavie Tina Wenke Holiday Wishes stamped in Nick Bantock Vermillion Lacquer. The ribbon is Michael's Special Value. The embellishments are Mark Richards Gold Metals.

The sentiment is Stampavie Tina Wenke Holiday Wishes stamped in Nick Bantock Vermillion Lacquer. The embellishments are Pebbles Pearl Candy Dots.

These two cards have super simple layouts that allow the lovely holly paper to shine through. The embellishments add just that little extra to liven things up a bit.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Sympathy III

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I've another sympathy card for you today. This is for a friend whose friend's mother recently passed away. The friends mother was in her 80s and wasn't in good health. This is one of those instances where, although it doesn't feel like it, is a blessing.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Rose Red textured with Sizzix Flower embossing folder. The patterned paper is Stampin' Up Springtime Vintage layered on River Rock. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Thanks For Caring, stamped in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White and layered on Not Quite Navy paper. The embellishments are Pebbles pearl Candy Dots. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

My friend loved this card as much as I do. It is one of the cheerful sympathy that I prefer to craft and which I hope will be uplifting to the recipient. I also thought this vintage style paper would be suitable to mark the passing of an elderly woman.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Sympathy II

Hello everyone,

Today's card is for the same friend and colleague as the card I posted yesterday. This is the card that all our colleagues will sign. The image is a leftover piece that I had stamped weeks ago but never used until now.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Always Artichoke Designer Series Paper. The image is Penny Black Inclinations stamped in Always Artichoke on Whisper White and layered on a shimmery white of unknown origin and Always Artichoke. The sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings stamped and layered in the same way as the image. The embellishments are K&Company "The Kiss" adhesive gems.

I really like this card. The image is perfect for a sympathy card. This sympathy card is eminently suitable for both the ladies and gentlemen at the office to sign. Not everyone would be so amenable to the card that I posted yesterday. The shimmery white keeps the card from being totally bland and somber.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Sympathy I

Hello everyone,

Today's card is a for a friend and colleague whose grandmother passed away. I know this will be an especially difficult loss and I crafted this somewhat cheery card to lift her spirits.

The background paper is K&Company Que Sera Sera In Bloom. The image is Gina K Hope Grows painted with a variety of LuminArte Twinkling H2Os stamped on Stampin' Up Whisper White and layered on Crushed Curry. The sentiment is Gina K Fanciful Tags. The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsakes Memories. The ribbon is from Crafts.

I so love this card. I'm especially pleased with the painted flowers. Though I know all that practise is paying off, I'm not yet 100% confident in my abilities every time I pick up a paint brush. This K&Company paper is really beautiful. I could use it over and over and craft an extremely different card every time.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Congratualtions

Hello everyone,

I've another colleague-commissioned card for you today. One of my colleagues is retiring and I was asked to craft her a card. She is a great lady, very soft-spoken and kind, and wonderful to work with. She will be missed.

The background paper is Crate Paper Blue Hill Collection "Sky" layered on Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade. The vertical element is Stampin' Up Pool Party textured with Sizzix Floral Flourish and painted with LuminArte Bashful Blue Twinkling H2Os. The focal element and sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings stamped in Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The embellishments are Martha Stewart white dimensional mini pearls.

I love this card. I wanted my colleague to have a soft and feminine card and this card really speaks to me. I know that she will love it, especially if she finds out I made it with her in mind. I think that is one of the things I love about cardmaking, you can really personalize something very special for the recipient.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Good Luck

Hello everyone,

One of my colleagues is moving on to greener pastures so I was asked to craft him a card. He has a great appreciation for cards that are Asian-inspired so this card was very, very easy to craft.

The patterned paper is origami paper of unknown origin layered on scrap textured navy paper also of unknown origin. The sentiment is Waltzingmouse Say It With Style. It is stamped with Midnight Blue StazOn on Stampin' Up Whisper White and layered on gold and navy papers of unknown origin. The embellishments are Keepsakes Memories from Multicrafts.

I love this card! It is perfect for my colleague and I know he'll really appreciate it. This is a great and very simple layout which only serves to highlight the great origami paper even more. Sometimes simpler really is better.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

With Sympathy

Hello everyone,

My stash of sympathy cards has, unfortunately, become rather depleted so I'm working on rebuilding.

The background papers are DCWV Floral Prints. The flower is Eccentric Images Poppy Longstocking, stamped in Timber Brown StazOn and painted with a variety of LuminArte Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Stamp Barn, also stamped in Timber Brown StazOn on a shimmery gold of unknown origin and layered on Stampin' Up Dusty Durango. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers gold pearls. The card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

I'm not sure if a sympathy card should be so bright and cheerful but I didn't want to craft something dull and drab. I think I went a little overboard with the Twinkling H2Os on the poppy as it looks rather muddy when I was trying to get the colours to blend. This is still is a great card and I know that it will be just perfect for whomever eventually receives it.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Princess

Hello everyone,

Today's card was commissioned by a colleague who needed a birthday card for her boss. Her boss actually refers to herself as a princess and likes having a big deal made of her birthday - ego much???

The printed paper and die cut are My Mind's Eye Lost & Found and Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink Signature Greetings. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques. The card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen and LuminArte Cherry Sorbet Twinkling H2Os.

I was rather troubled about this card considering it's for a grown woman who considers herself a princess and likes Harry Potter. I decided my best bet was to go for 'shabby chic' but I don't necessarily do 'shabby chic' all that well. Thank goodness for these antiqued papers from My Mind's Eye. Once I found them the card came together easily. The best part, I really like the paper so I won't have any problem using the rest of them in a few cards. Just goes to show the versatility of cardmaking - you can really create whatever comes to mind.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 15 & 16

Hello everyone,

I've got the last two cards in the one sheet wonder charity project. Except for one teeny, tiny strip, I've used the entire 12 X 12 sheet of paper. I think I had so many leftover bits because the card bases I use are smaller than the one called for in the template instructions.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Whisper White or Very Vanilla. The patterned paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The printed paper is layered on Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Starring You.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Early Espresso upon which is layered River Rock. The sentiment is Penny Black Happy, Happy stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla.

I think these last two cards are my favourites. I love the really simple layout and having the sentiments as the main focus.

I plan to craft two more one sheet wonder card series for the charity card sale. Both will be Christmas cards. I just need to find the perfect sheets of paper.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 13 & 14

Hello everyone,

Today's cards use some of the leftover patterned paper from the one sheet wonder project I've been working on for a charity card sale at the office.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Cajun Craze textured with Sizzix L7s. The focal paper is layered on Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Hero Arts Classic Messages stamped on Very Vanilla in Not Quite Navy. The embellishments are Keepsake Memories from Multicrafts.

The background paper is Stampin' Up River Rock, textured with a Scor-Pal and boning tool and layered on Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Four Square stamped in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White.

I love both of these cards. The textured backgrounds really suit masculine cards and added a lot of interest to these few bits of scrap paper. There is just something wonderful about clean and simple.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 11 & 12

Hello everyone,

I have cards 11 and 12 in my masculine one sheet one charity project for you today. The theme for these cards is interesting backgrounds. I think I'll actually get two more, possibly three, cards out of the leftover scraps I have on hand. We'll see how my mojo holds up.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The background paper is Gina K Timeless Textures, stamped on Stampin' Up Whisper White in Crumb Cake, Dusty Durango, Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede. The sentiment is Impression Obsession Vertical Greetings in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White. The embellishments are Rust and Denim Oregon Raindrops.

The background paper, Stampin' Up Early Espresso, is textured with Crafts-Too Tool embossing folder. The patterned paper is layered on Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla. The sentiment is Hero Arts Small Greetings and is layered on Kraft.

I love both of these cards. I'd almost forgotten about the Tools embossing folder which works great for these cards. I'd bought it because it is so perfect for male cards. I'm not as fussy about the first card. If anything it is more gender neutral than masculine. It will do just fine for this particular charity project.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 9 & 10

Hello everyone,

The theme for today's charity one sheet wonder cards are textured backgrounds.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Whisper White stamped with Gina K Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake and layered on Kraft. The patterned paper is layered on Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Close To My Heart Celebration stamped in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White and layered on Not Quite Navy. The embellishments are Keepsake Memories from Multicrafts.

The background paper is Very Vanilla stamped with Gina K Timeless Treasures in Not Quite Navy on Very Vanilla. The patterned paper is layered on Not Quite Navy. The sentiment, from Magenta, is stamped in Not Quite Navy on Very Vanilla and layered on Not Quite Navy.

I love these cards. I could count on one hand the number of times I use these types of texturing stamps which is a shame because these cards worked out so much better than I imagined. I think these backgrounds are spectacular! I can't wait to try them out on other cards.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 7 & 8

Hello everyone,

Themes seem to be working for me on this project. Today's one sheet wonder cards have a theme of leaves.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The image is Sweet 'n Sassy Autumn Blessings stamped in Stampin' Up Soft Suede. The sentiment is Hero Arts Friends Are Treasures stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla and layered on Cajun Craze.

The image is Sweet 'n Sassy Autumn Blessings stamped in Early Espresso and Dusty Durango on Kraft and layered on Dusty Durango. The patterned paper is also layered on Dusty Durango. The sentiment is Kaisercraft Occasions. The embellishments are from Multicrafts.

I don't often use these particular leaf stamps and I don't know why because they are quite striking. I love how they worked for these cards. These are fabulous backgrounds!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 5 & 6

Hello everyone,

I went with a tree themed pair of cards today for my one sheet wonder charity project.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The background paper is Stampin' Up River Rock. The image, Gina K Tree Silhouettes, is stamped in River Rock on Whisper White and layered on Kraft. The sentiment is Gina K Tag Lines stamped in Soft Suede. The embellishments are Moss Oregon Raindrops.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy. The image, Stampin' Up Lovely As A Tree, is stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White and layered on Early Espresso. The sentiment is Gina K Labeled With Love.

I love using tree stamps and I think they are especially great for masculine cards. I was tempted not to use embellishments on the first card but felt it really did need a little extra. I think Oregon Raindrops work as embellishments for masculine cards because they blend in more that glittery brads or gems.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 3 & 4

Hello everyone,

Today's pair of cards in my one sheet wonder charity project is golf-themed

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The image, A Muse Putter, is stamped on Very Vanilla in Early Espresso and coloured with Ranger Adirondack Ginger and Denim markers. It is layered on Not Quite Navy, Well Worn and more Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Impression Obsession Vertical Greetings.

The image is from Inkadinkado, stamped on Very Vanilla in Early Espresso and coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons. The sentiment is Sweet 'n Sassy Birthday Greetings. The image and sentiment are layered on Dusty Durango.

I really like these cards and I think I'll be disappointed if they don't sell. Besides these two golfing stamps, which I actually coloured, I've a few other stamps that I don't use often enough but are perfect for male cards. Maybe I my mojo won't run low before I finish this series.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 1 & 2

Hello everyone,

I'm on my second one sheet wonder set of cards for a charity sale in November. This set will be as masculine as the last set was feminine.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Kraft, Very Vanilla or Whisper White. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Well Worn.

The Well Worn paper is layered on Stampin' Up Dusty Durango and Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Stampin' Up All Holidays. The brads are from Crafts.

The Well Worn paper is layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Hero Arts Small Greetings. The brads are of unknown origin but most likely Multicrafts.

I'm going to have a lot of fun with this set of cards. It can be challenging to craft male-oriented cards so to do an entire one sheet wonder won't necessarily be easy. I'm a little worried they'll be on the boring side because I can't see using a lot of sparkle or glitter to fancy things up. I do love this paper and actually bought it because I thought it would be great for male cards.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Another Little Bird

Hello everyone,

I've crafted today's card for the same colleague who commissioned yesterday's card. Her and I have been working together for the past nine months and now she is moving on to a new job. I wanted to give her a little memento because she was really wonderful to work with. I know she really liked this little bird stamped so I decided to use it again.

The background paper is DCWV Floral Prints layered on Stampin' Up Groovy Guava. The horizontal element is Bashful Blue textured with Creative Expression Flourish embossing folder, painted with LuminArte Bashful Blue Twinkling H2Os and layered on Groovy Guava. The image is Stampin' Up Four Frames stamped in Wild Wasabi on Whisper Whtie. The sentiment is Verve Uplifting Phrases. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The embellishments are TPC Studio Wedding Silhouette Mini Jewels.

I think this is a great card. Happy and cheerful, just like my colleague. This particular DCWV paper can be a real challenge to coordinate but these two Stampin' Up papers work beautifully. Of course, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a little painting and I'm glad I did because it added just that little bit of extra that takes this card just that little bit further.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

A Little Bird

Hello everyone,

Today's card was commissioned by a colleague. She was particularly taken with this particular stamp so it was a bit of a no brainer to use it.

The background paper is My Mind's Eye Trés Jolie Madamoiselle Bleu Papier. The patterned paper is BasicGrey Olivia. The horizontal element is Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette, punch with Martha Stewart French Scroll, layered on more Bleu Papier and Whisper White. The image/sentiment is Stampin' Up Four Frames stamped in Nick Bantock Charcoal Grey on Whisper White. The ribbon is Crafts. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Licorice Opaques.

I really love this card. This sheet of Olivia paper has such a great variety of colours it is pretty each to find complimentary papers. I have to agree with my colleague that this little bird stamp is pretty sweet. I'm pretty confident that my colleague's friend will really like this card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 11 & 12

Hello everyone,

I've the last two cards, 11 and 12, in one sheet wonder charity project. This was a wonderful project. I can't wait to start the Christmas set.

The card bases are Close To My Heart Colonial White. The patterned paper is BoBunny Sophie Bouquet. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

The background paper is Close To My Heart Wings. The sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings. The embellishments are Recollections Adhesive Faux Pearls.

The remaining paper is Close To My Heart Wings, Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette and Kraft. The sentiment is Stampin' Up It's Your Birthday. The embellishments are Recollections Adhesive Faux Pearls and Close To My Heart Bitty Sparkles.

I went a little pearly with these last two cards. Maybe too much??? I found the Wings paper quite by accident when a couple of scraps laying around my desk landed on the BoBunny paper. It just seemed to work and it was nice to switch things up a bit.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 9 & 10

Hello everyone,

Cards 9 and 10 are being blogged today. One is super simple, the other is more complex.

The card bases are Close To My Heart Colonial White. The patterned paper is BoBunny Sophie Bouquet. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

The sentiment is Magenta. The embellishments are Mark Richards Gold Metallic adhesives.

The bottom layer is Close To My Heart Wings. The sentiment and image is Gina K Block Greetings. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Bitty Saprkles. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Are these not great cards! One Sheet Wonders are fabulous. It's amazing that a couple of pieces of paper can become such great cards.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 7 & 8

Hello everyone,

I have cards 7 and 8 in my charity one sheet one project.

The card bases are Close To My Heart Colonial White. The patterned paper is BoBunny Sophie Bouquet. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

The sentiment is Penny Black Happy, Happy. The embellishments are Kaisercrapbook silver rhinestones highlighted with Cinnamon Stickles.

The Chocolate Chip layer is textured with Sizzix Elegant Lines and painted with LuminArte Burnt Umber Twinkling H2Os. The patterned paper is also highlighted with Burnt Umber Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Stampendous Retro Happy Birthday. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

I love both of these cards. I so loved the painted butterflies that I wanted to try the same technique with the Chocolate Chip paper. I just as happy with the results. I really appreciate the simplicity of the one sheet wonder layouts, though I've not really followed those that went with the cutting instructions. One of my favourite things about one sheet wonder projects is that you really can embellish to make the cards your own and I just love adding all the sparkles and shimmer.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Cards 5 and 6 in my one sheet one project for charity are on tap today but I think I like yesterdays card more. Those butterflies just work.

The card bases are Close To My Heart Colonial White. The patterned paper is BoBunny Sophie Bouquet. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

The image is Stampin' Up Playful Petals painted with LuminArte Burnt Umber, Black Orchid and Cherry Sorbet Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Sweet 'n Sassy stamps Birthday Greetings. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

The sentiment is PaperTrey Ink Signature Greetings. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers Cream Mosiacs.

This BoBunny paper is just incredible and works perfectly for these one sheet wonder cards. I wish I had more than one sheet.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Once I get going, the cards just get better and better. I think my favourite so far is the butterfly card. I just love the shimmer of the butterflies.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

One Sheet Wonder 1 & 2

Hello everyone,

Each fall our community has a huge fundraising campaign, held over a couple of months, to help hundreds of charities. At my office, we hold a number of events to raise funds for this campaign. One of my cardmaking friends is organizing a card sale. I saw this as a wonderful opportunity to do a set of couple of one sheet wonder cards. I'm going to post these cards two at time.

The card bases are Close To My Heart Colonial White. The patterned paper is BoBunny Sophie Bouquet. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

The images on this card is Stampin' Up Playful Petals coloured with LuminArte Burnt Umber, Black Orchid and Cherry Sorbet Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings. The embellishments are Pebbles Brown Pearl Candy Dots.

The image on this card is Stampin' Up Four Frames. The sentiment is Annabelle Stamps Sentimental Bluebells. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

I love this paper and the cards are coming out better than I expected. I find one sheet wonder cards are a great way to play with all different types of layouts and embellishments. I also love how these cards come together so quickly. I often find it hard to stop when I've so much mojo flowing.

I hope you enjoy this cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Sugar 'N Glitter

Hello everyone,

I am determined to clear off the bunch of leftover bits that are cluttering up my workspace so expect to see some scrapped cards over the next little while.

The background paper is BasicGrey Sugar Rush. The vertical strip is Stampin' Up Almost Amythest that was stamped with Sweet Summer in VersaMark, highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen and layered on Apricot Appeal. The focal image is a Daisy in Frame Peel Off's outline sticker affixed to coloured watercolour paper which was glittered with DecoArt Glamour Dust and layered on Apricot Appeal. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Happy Moments stamped in Nick Bantock Charcoal Grey on Whisper White. The embellishments are Hero Arts Hero Hues gems.

For someone who loves BasicGrey paper as much as I do, I find it can be difficult to work with the Sugar Rush papers. It did however, really work with this card. It is fun and silly and pretty. I think whoever receives this card will smile.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Tie The Knot

Hello everyone,

I'm still into wedding cards and I find this Hero Arts stamp particularly inspiring.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Mocha Morning. The image, Hero Arts Artistic Circles, is stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White, heat embossed with Close To My Heart silver pearl and layered on Early Espresso. The ribbon is Celebrate It Sheer Creations from Michael's. The sentiment is American Crafts Wedding, also stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White and layered on Early Espresso. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

This wedding card is certainly different from my last few. It's not as bright and certainly pretty sophisticated. I really like it! I find the offset layout very appealing and I think it contributes to the sophistication. I can't say enough about the stamp and of course, the silver pearl embossing powder.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Autumn Wedding II

Hello everyone,

Today's card is a second paisley wedding card further to the one I posted on Saturday. I was playing with some Twinkling H2Os and this paisley stamp which I've had for ages but hadn't used.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Dusty Durango stamped with Impression Obsession Paisleys and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The printed paper is BasicGrey Ambrosia. The focal layer, more of the Impression Obsession Paisleys stamp, stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White, clear heat embossed, painted with a variety of LuminArte Twinkling H2Os and layered on a piece of More Mustard. The sentiment is Stampabilities Changes Everything. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

I love this card as much as I love Saturday's card. I had planned to use more deep red paper for the background but the Dusty Durango just works. This is a great stamp set. At first I thought it would be too fussy to paint with my limited painting skills but heat embossing really helps with blending and keeping within the lines.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Pearls A Plenty

Hello everyone,

I was playing with a new Hero Arts stamps and decided to craft another wedding card today.

The background paper is Stampin' Up Bordering Blue upon which is layered a shimmery white of unknown origin and BasicGrey Wisteria. The image is Hero Arts Artistic Circles stamped in Nick Bantock Damson Plum on Whisper White, heat embossed in Close To My Heart Silver Pearl. It is layered on Elegant Eggplant which was painted with a variety of LuminArte Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Penny Black Full of Life. The embellishments are Martha Stewart white and pastel mini pearls.

I love this card. To me, it feels like a well-worn country quilt on a hot summer day. It is soft and subtle and beautiful. I think I will be sad to see this card sold.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Autumn Wedding

Hello everyone,

Forget June, it's October and there are weddings galore.

The background paper is BasicGrey June Bug textured with Sizzix Pattern 1. The images are Impression Obsession Paisleys stamped in Nick Bantock Van Dyke Brown on Stampin' Up Whisper White, clear heat embossed and painted with a variety of LuminArte Twinkling H2Os. The focal element was layered on a piece of textured copper of unknown origin and Close To My Heart Autumn Terracotta. The sentiment is Stampabilities Changes Everything. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers gold pearls.

I just love this card. Next to holly, paisley is one of my very favourite shapes. I'm not necessarily thrilled with the painting but it could be worse and I figure the more I paint, the better it will get. Besides, I just love playing with these awesome paints!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
