Paisley Petals 5 & 6

Hello everyone,

I'm posting cards five and six in my Paisley Petals one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisely Petals layered on Always Artichoke. The sentiment is Penny Black Thanks, Thanks stamped in Not Quite Navy. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Licorice Opaques and Martha Stewart White Dimensional Mini Pearls.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisley Petals. It is layered on Not Quite Navy, dry embossed with Craft Concepts Butterfly Kisses embossing folder and painted with LuminArte Bolivian Blue Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings. The embellishments are Queen and Company Rhinestone Trios.

For a cardmaker who is not a fan of triangles, these two cards turned out wonderfully. I think keeping card five simple was key. I've used a very similar layout on another one sheet wonder card and liked it so much I had to repeat it. I love this embossing folder and the tone on tone painting is so very effective.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Paisley Petals 3 & 4

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting cards three and four in this latest Paisley Petals one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisley Petals layered on Bravo Burgundy. The image, also Stampin' Up Paisley Petals is stamped in Bravo Burgundy, clear heat embossed, and painted with LuminArte Olive Vine, Sage, Black Orchid, Mango Mamba, Bolivean Blue and Ginger Peach Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Gina K Framed Greetings.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisley Petals, layered on Bravo Burgundy. The sentiment, Waltzingmouse Say It With Style, is stamped in Bravo Burgundy on Whisper White and layered on Bravo Burgundy The embellishments are Dress It Up Napa Valley and St. Croix flats.

I have the Paisley Petals stamp and couldn't not use it with this paper on card three. I also couldn't not pull out the Twinkling H2Os. I'm so happy with the results. I love the embellishments on card four. I found them on a recent trip to Montreal and am so pleased with them although they're a bit of a pain to glue. I'll live with it to get these results.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Paisley Petals 1 & 2

Good morning everyone,

This is the final one sheet wonder project that I've had on the go for the past couple of weeks. I've promised that this will be the last one sheet wonder for a little bit. I'm sure you're getting tired of them and I really need to move on to other cards. Like all my one sheet wonders, you really need to find paper that you love and this Stampin' Up Paisley Petals paper is gorgeous. I managed to craft fifteen cards from just one sheet on 12X12 paper so I'm going to post two cards a day over the next week.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisley Petals. It is layered on Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke. The sentiment is PaperTrey Ink Signature Greetings. The embellishments are Close To My Heart blue Sparkles.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Paisley Petals layered on Bravo Burgundy. The sentiment is Penny Black Thank You Tree is stamped in Always Artichoke on Whisper White and layered on Always Artichoke.

Both these cards have a very simple layout to take advantage of the great paper and to highlight the sentiments. Embellishments, when used, were kept to a minimum. One of the great things about Stampin' Up paper is that it really easy to find solid papers with which to coordinate, making one sheet wonder projects so quick and easy.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Country Floral 12

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting the last card in this pretty one sheet wonder series. After this, I really, really promise, I've only got one more one sheet wonder project to post.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment, Penny Black Happy, Happy, is stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and layered on Baja Breeze. The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsakes Memories.

This card was all about the leftover bits I had on the table. In hindsight I wish I had textured the bottom layer but it's not the end of the world. I love the somewhat random placement of the embellishments.

This was a really fun series of cards. I loved this Jillibean Soup paper from the moment I laid eyes upon it and I'm glad I got to use the entire sheet at once. I suppose I'm also wishing I'd bought more than one sheet.

I hope you enjoy this card and the entire Country Floral one sheet wonder and you come back to SPI again soon.

Country Floral 11

Hello everyone,

I'm posting card eleven in this country floral one sheet wonder today.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk which is layered on Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy and Early Espresso. The sentiment is Hero Arts Friends Are Treasures stamped in Early Espresso and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

This is another great birthday card in this series. I love the repetition of threes. I also love this great big sentiment. It would work as wonderfully on a sentiment focused card as it does here.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today's post is card ten in my latest one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk. The sentiment is Stampendous. The embellishments are Dress It Up Sangria Flats.

For a card with one of those awkward triangles that I often loathe, I love this card. The sentiment works really well and though the embellishments were not intended to go together, the pairing couldn't work any better. This is just one of those creations that makes me so happy!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today I have card nine in this latest one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk. It is outline with Pentel Sunburst Gold Metallic Gel pen and Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thoughtful Messages stamped in Stampin' Up Baroque Burgundy on Very Vanilla and layered on Bravo Burgundy. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

When I copied this template, I missed one of the shapes and we ended up with triangles that wouldn't fit the card bases. These are those trim pieces and I've used them in a layout that I've used before and I really love.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today I've card eight in this one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper, Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk is
layered on Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy. The sentiment is Gina K Follow Your Dreams which is stamped in Baroque Burgundy on Very Vanilla. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

I love this card. It is very simple and really elegant. This is what a one sheet wonder card is all about. The entire card probably took less than five minutes to craft yet turned out so great!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today's pot is card seven in this one sheet wonder series. The remaining six cards are all birthday cards.

The printed paper, Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk is layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Denami Design Upright Happy Birthday stamped in Early Espresso. The embellishments are Recollections pearls.

Any time I've an opportunity to use this vertical sentiment, I take it. It is, by far, one of my favourite sentiments. Again, a super simple layout, letting this beautiful paper shine.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today, card six in this one sheet wonder series, is one of my favourites.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk which is layer on Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Bravo Burgundy. The sentiment, Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers gold pearls.

I find these piece in the one sheet wonder template can be challenging to place on a card. What do you do with one small square and a long strip? I think I found a great way to incorporate the two. This card has both the layers and embellishments that I seem so drawn to use. It looks much more complicated than it actually is. The results are fantastic.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today is Country Floral five in my second to last, at least for a while, one sheet wonder project.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk, highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen and layered on Stampin' Up Baja Breeze and Early Espresso. The sentiment, Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Early Espresso. The embellishments are Recollections pearls.

I love this card. The sentiment is really wonderful even though I smooshed it a bit. I went a little crazy with the Sakura pen but this paper just cries out for the glitter.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting card four in my latest one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk. It was layered on three strips of Stampin' Up Baja Breeze which was textured with Couture Creations Entangle dry embossing folder. The sentiment is of unknown origin, likely Hero Arts or Magenta. The embellishments are Recollections pearls.

Again I used fewer layers but more embellishments. I find using the triangle pieces of this one sheet wonder layout are particularly challenging but I really like how this card turned out. If I'm not mistaken, I think I've used this particular layout once before.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk which is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment, Hero Arts Thank You Messages is stamped in Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy on Very Vanilla and layered on more Bravo Burgundy. The embellishments are Recollections pearls.

This is another super simple card. I used fewer layers but more embellishments. It appears this works either way.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today is card two in my second to last (at least for a while) one sheet wonder project.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk, layered on Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy and Baja Breeze. The sentiment is Verve Thankful Accents. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers gold pearls.

I love all the cards in this series. I've tried to let the fabulous printed paper speak for itself and kept the layouts simpler and the embellishments somewhat minimal. This card is a great example of those efforts and the results are perfect!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

I promise I've only this set of twelve one sheet wonder cards and one more afterwards and that will be all for a while. I promise for real this time. This set is the cards I made at my neighbor's for the class she asked me to do for her and a group of her friends. It was a really great day! The next set of one sheet wonder cards will be the smaller sample cards that I provided for the class. I intended to post them before posting this set but I forgot them at the office today and have not yet taken the photos.

The printed paper is Jillibean Soup Chilled Strawberry Soup Vanilla Soy Milk which is layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Baja Breeze. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages.

This is a really clean and simple card. Instead of using any embellishments, I simply stuck with layering. I love this particular sentiment because it is very simple but nice and long. I think it would have also looked really nice stamped in Early Espresso ink.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Many Thanks

Hello everyone,

Today's is the last card I've been tasked to craft for one of my husband's colleagues. This is another very masculine thank you card.

The printed paper is BasicGrey Little Black Dress layered on Stampin' Up Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black. The sentiment is Penny Black Thanks, Thanks stamped in Real Red on Whisper White.

I think this is a great masculine thank you card. It is clean and simple with nothing frou frou about it. I love this printed BasicGrey paper and for a 'Little Black Dress' it works pretty well for a man's card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Thank So Much

Hello everyone,

One of the Christmas fundraisers at my husband's work this year was a raffle for a great pair of Ottawa Senators (National Hockey League) tickets. My husband is not a huge hockey fan but I just love the game. He didn't buy the tickets under duress but he did voice an opinion. Wouldn't you know it, he won the tickets. It was an excellent hockey game and I had a really, really great time. Thank you cards are in order for the managers who donated the tickets in the first place.

The printed papers are BasicGrey Pyrus layered on Stampin' Up More Mustard. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White. The embellishments are Dress It Up Pressed Leaves.

I think this is a great thank you card. It is clean and simple as I just want to express a simple thank you, nothing over the top. I'm confident this works exactly as I had in mind.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

New Baby Girl

Hello everyone

Today's baby girl card is for one of my husband's colleagues. This is their second baby and from what I can gather, it hasn't been easy.

The printed paper was given to me by a card making friend and the brand is unknown. It is layered on Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. The sentiment is Gina K Pleasant Plurals. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Green Sparkles and Autumn Leaves Adhesive Rhinestones.

I love, love, love this pink and green colour combination. Isn't think paper fantastic! Some of the images are glittered so it's got that little bit of sheen that I just love! This was a super simple card because the mojo is lagging but I think this pretty paper rather makes up for it.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

New Baby Boy

Hello everyone,

All the cards I'm posting over the next few days are for a number of my husband's colleagues. Two have had babies and two are getting thank you cards. I've gotten a really wicked cold so my mojo has been running low making these cards real labours of love.

The printed paper is BoBunny Hip Hip Hooray Primary Stripe layered on Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment is Gina K Follow Your Dreams stamped in Pacific Point on Whisper White and layered on Pacific Point and Old Olive. The image, Inkadinkado Baby Animals in also stamped in Pacific Point and cut out of Whisper White. The embellishments are Recollections Epoxy Stickers.

I just love this card. The elephant, which I've used before for this couple, is just too darn cute! This is a card for a baby boy and will be signed by a bunch of my husband's male colleagues. I think this is eminently suitable for all these boys.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Butterfly Beauty 12

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting card twelve and the last in this great one sheet wonder series. I love this paper and I think it was a great one for this type of project.

The printed paper is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly layered on Stampin' Up Blue Bayou and Early Espresso. The sentiment is PaperTrey Ink Signature Greetings. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

This is another layout that I favour. I love using these embellishments and don't they look wonderful all lined up in rows?

To me, the point behind a one sheet wonder is to make a large number of great cards quickly. All the one sheet wonder projects I've done over the past few months have been just that.

I have one more one sheet wonder to come. It is the same layout I've been using but with the smaller card bases. This next series is for the upcoming class I'm giving to one of my neighbors and her friends. I want to be able to show them samples of both sizes.

I hope you enjoy this card and also the entire one sheet wonder series and come back to SPI the next one sheet wonder.

Hello everyone,

Card eleven today!

The printed papers are K&Company SW Nature and SW Nature Butterfly layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Waltzingmouse Say It With Style stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla. The embellishments are Pebbles Brown Pearl Candy Dots.

This is the first card in this series in which I broke into my favourite brown - Early Espresso. It works great with the printed paper! This is a favourite layout of mine and I've used it often for the many one sheet wonder cards I've done over the past few months. It is the perfect layout for embellishments and these brown candy dots are great.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Card ten today!

The printed papers are K&Company SW Nature Butterfly and 12X12 designer paper. The sentiment is Close To My Heart Celebration stamped in Marina Mist on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and layered on More Mustard and Blue Bayou. The embellishments are K&Company SW Nature Butterfly pillow stickers. The entire card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

I so love this printed paper that when I saw the 12X12 designer pack at the store the other day, I just couldn't resist. It was great finding a printed paper to use as a background. This background paper wouldn't generally appeal to me but it ties in so wonderfully with the colour in the butterflies that it was a no-brainer.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today is card number nine in this latest one sheet wonder series.

The background layer is Stampin' Up Blue Bayou textured with Couture Creations Entangle embossing folder and sprayed with Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer. The printed paper, K&Company SW Nature Butterfly, is layered on More Mustard. The sentiment is Penny Black Special Time stamped in Marina Mist on Very Vanilla. The embellishment is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly pillow stickers.

I love this card. It has been a long time since I shook the Smooch Spritz and it worked perfectly for this card. Between The Smooch and the dry embossing, this background really sets off these two little bits of designer paper.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Butterfly Beauty 8

Hello everyone,

Today is card eight in my latest one sheet wonder project.

The printed paper is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly layered on Stampin' Up More Mustard and Blue Bayou. The triangular elements are More Mustard and Blue Bayou, textured with Darice Butterflies in Corner embossing folder and painted with LuminArte Stargazer and Mango Mamba Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Gina K Fanciful Tags. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Bitty Sparkles and K&Company SW Nature Butterfly pillow stickers.

I'm much happier with today's triangles. There is a nice structure and balance to this card. I let the butterfly stickers give the flow that I was hoping for yesterday. This really works for me!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Butterfly Beauty 7

Hello everyone,

Today I'm posting card seven in this latest one sheet wonder series. It's come about in the most strange way and I'm not all that certain it was a good thing.

The printed paper is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly. The solid paper is Stampin' Up More Mustard texture with Darice Butterflies in Corner embossing folder and highlighted with LuminArte Mango Mamba Twinkling H2Os. The sentiment is Gina K Follow Your Dreams. The embellishments are K&Company SW Nature Butterfly pillow stickers.

I really wanted to let go of my penchant to avoid crafting cards non-square/rectangle cards. After the challenges of yesterday's card it was time to step out of the box. On top of it all, I so love this printed paper I decided to do some online research and low and behold, I found that I already had the coordinating stickers. What better inspiration to try something different. Though I love the idea of using triangles, I think the More Mustard triangle doesn't have the proper angles so it looks especially wonky thus making the sentiment wonky too. I tried to balance things with the stickers but I don't think I was all that successful. This certainly isn't the worst card I've ever made but I don't know if it will make it in the gift packs I'm planning.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hello everyone,

Today's post is card six and I'm halfway through this one sheet wonder project.

The printed paper is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly layered on Stampin' Up So Saffron that was textured with Sizzix Pattern 1. The sentiment is from Stamp Barn, stamped on Very Vanilla in Marina Mist and layered on Blue Bayou. The embellishments are Crystal Sticker gold pearls.

I had a tougher time with this card. Triangles are not always my friend when I'm crafting cards and this card was no exception however using the large sentiment as a focal point certainly made a difference. I still have another triangle to use so I'm hoping to feel inspired.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Butterfly Beauty 5

Hello everyone,

Today's card is number five in this one sheet wonder series.

The printed paper, K&Company SW Nature Butterfly, is layered on Stampin' Up More Mustard and Blue Bayou. The image, from Magenta, is stamped in More Mustard on Very Vanilla. The sentiment, Lizzie Anne Say It In Script, is stamped in Marina Mist on Very Vanilla and layered on More Mustard. The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsakes Memories.

I love all the layers on this card. I've been dying to use this image since I got it but have been so wrapped up in Christmas cards, the opportunity never arose. I'm glad I got the chance because it is a really great image and I can see using it often.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Happy 2012 everyone!

I have card four in my Butterfly Beauty one sheet wonder project.

The printed paper is K&Company SW Nature Butterfly layered on Stampin' Up More Mustard. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thoughtful Messages. The embellishments are Crystal Stickers gold pearls.

I love this paper! This piece is exactly the same dimensions as yesterdays only I've made it horizontal instead of vertical. A few embellishments and presto chango, a great card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
