Holiday Swirls

Hello everyone,

Today's card is part of my Christmas stash.  There will be plenty over the next number of weeks.

The printed paper is K & Company Tim Coffey Christmas Designer Paper layered on Bazzill Glazed Christmas.  The red layer, also Bazzill Glazed Christmas has been textured with Couture Creations Very Xmas Light embossing folder.  The sentiment is Penny Black Winter Wonders stamped in Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla, layered on Bazzill Glazed Christmas and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The ribbon is Wrights.  The embellishments are Mark Richards gold metals.

This is one of those amazing pieces of paper that isn't well scaled for a card unless it is carefully trimmed.  I love how it's only part of a tree yet still distinctly a Christmas tree.  I just love everything about this card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Christmas Challenge

Hello everyone,

One of the things I love about my girlfriend's crop is that she always puts forward a really great challenge.  This is the card I crafted for the challenge.

The card base is Bazzill.  The printed paper is BoBunny Silver & Gold Collection.  The sentiment is Annabelle Stamps Ornamental Christmas.  The ribbon is of unknown origin.  The embellishments are Queen & Co Classy Red pearls.

I really loved the layout for this card challenge.  I had only brought Christmas paper to the crop so it was pretty easy to pull all the elements together.  I just love the results!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Floral Thanks

Hello everyone,

This is the last card I designed for the beginners class on Friday night.  They were one of the most awesome group of ladies I've ever had the pleasure to work with and they loved all their cards.  I hope I'll have a chance to 'craft' with them again.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Springtime Vintage layered on Not Quite Navy.  The image is Stampin' Up Delight In Life stamped in Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze ink on Very Vanilla and layered on more Not Quite Navy.  The sentiment is Verve Celebration of Thanks stamped in Not Quite Navy on Very Vanilla.  The embellishments are Crafts Pearl Halves.

Another Stampin' Up card.  I am not good at colouring and I think that that can be really intimidating to newbies.  I did however want this group of beginners to have a chance to uses images that can be coloured or, in this case, stamped.  I love these two-steps stamps!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Perfectly Purple

Hello everyone,

Another beginner card for you today.

The printed paper is Stampin' UP Berry Blossoms layered on Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White.  The image is Stampin' Up Just Believe stamped on Whisper White in Elegant Eggplant.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Sweet Essentials also stamped on Whisper White in Elegant Eggplant.  The pearls are Dollarama Glittering Stickers.

I love Wisteria Wonder!  I don't think I've ever crafted anything with it that I've no loved.  This is a full out Stampin' Up Card and if I'd had enough pearls, I would have used those as well.  Using all the same company does make it easy to design.  On the downside, I can spot a SU card a mile away.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Basic Birthday

Hello everyone,

Another card from the series I crafted for the beginner class I taught on Friday.

The printed paper is Karen Foster Birds and Blooms layered on Recollections Kraft, Stampin' Up Cheerful Treats and Rose Red.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Well Scripted stamped in Marina Mist on more Recollections Kraft.   The ribbon is White Rose.

This is a soft and pretty birthday card.  I love the washed out feeling of the Birds and Blooms paper.  I could have used a lighter coloured ribbon but I didn't have enough of any other suitable ribbon on hand.  I've had this White Rose ribbon for years and it works well enough with the blue in the printed paper that it just didn't make sense to go out and buy something different.  I really do want to work though some of my craft supply stash.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Uber Christmas Simplicity

Hello everyone,

You can get any easier than this card for a group of beginners.

The card base is Bazzill white.  The image and sentiment is Me & My Big Ideas Mambi Chip Stickers.

The purpose behind this super simple card is to demonstrate how to make a card with a base and stickers.  Beginners won't necessarily have any stash and, after only a single class, may not yet be inclined to spend a ton of money on supplies.  I wanted to show how with some great stickers and simple card bases, they can easily craft some really wonderful cards.  This worked even better than I intended.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Christmas Stocking

Hello everyone,

I'm teaching a beginner's card class for a charity event tonight so the next few postings are cards I've designed for the class.

The printed paper is Bella Blvd Christmas Wishes layered on American Crafts Crimson and Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi.  The stocking is a Martha Stewart Woodland Felt Icon die cut highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.  The sentiment is Inkadinkado Holiday Greetings stamped in Real Red on Whisper White and layered on Wild Wasabi.

Would you believe I've enough envelopes in my leftover stash to accommodate all five sets of six cards in this series.  It boggles my mind how I ended up with so many leftover envelopes.  None of the cards for this class are all that complicated as I want to show how to craft beautiful cards, simply.  I also wanted to take the opportunity to use up some of the materials I had on hand.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Special At Sixty

Hello everyone,

The mother of one of my colleagues is turning 60 and she commissioned a very unique birthday card.

The printed paper is DCWV Pet's Stack layered on DCWV Glitter Cardstock and Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise and Cameo Coral.  The Tempting Turquoise layer was textured with Darice Paw Print Background embossing folder and highlighted with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart For Every Occasion stamped in Cameo Coral on Very Vanilla and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The ribbon is of unknown origin.

My colleague's mother has a dog which she is utterly besotted with, thus the paw print theme.  You'd think I'd have reached the point where nothing would now surprise me when someone commissions a card.  I never thought I'd craft a doggy card to celebrate a 60th birthday.  This is a cute card and I really played up the sparkle because at sixty, a dog lover should have some sparkle.  My colleague loves the card and I'm confident her mother will as well.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Grand Nana Glitter

Hello everyone,

Today's card, using one of those leftover envelops and scrap paper, is for my husband's grandmother.  She is a wonderful lady and I love crafting cards for her.

The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on shimmery metallic gold also of unknown origin.  The butterfly is cut from the same shimmery gold with Spellbinders Wings of Hope die.  The ribbon is Offray.  The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsake Memories.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart Joyful Birthday stamped in Stampin' Up Soft Suede on Whisper White and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

A card for Grand Nana can't have to much sparkles or shine.  The images on this printed paper, which I think is from the dollar store, are wonderfully glittered.  Add the shimmer of the gold and the sparkle of the ribbon and you've a perfect card for Grand Nana.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

A Love Story

Hello everyone,

I wish I could thank whoever gave me the amazing printed papers I've uncovered in my scrap bin because they're leading to some really awesome cards.

The card base is DCWV Silky Smooth.  The printed paper, of unknown origin, is layered on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and Ruby Red.  The sentiment is Verve Love Story stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla.  The ribbon is unknown origin.  The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

I just love this card. This heart and the roses on this printed paper worked wonderfully with the kraft coloured card base and the Ruby Red paper.  I'm not as crazy about the vertical strip.  I wish I had used a more fanciful punch.  I also wish I had worked in the ribbon before I attached the layers to the card base as a simple bow would have been a nice touch.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Swirling Birthday

Hello everyone,

I can't believe the leftovers in my scrap bin.  I'm always inspired by a new sheet of paper that I forget what great paper inspired my earlier cards.

The card base is DCWV Silky Smooth.  The printed paper is DCWV All Dressed Up layered on Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery.  The Certainly Celery layer was textured with Sizzix Flowers embossing folder.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Beautiful Birthday stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Bazzill and layered on Tempting Turquoise.  The embellishments are TPC Studio So Delish mini jewels.

I so loved the green and black from yesterday's card that when I saw this scrap in the bin, it was the perfect excuse to use more of the lovely green and add the pop of turquoise.  I can't believe I found an embossing folder that worked so well with the watermark on the DCWV paper.  As I said a couple of days ago, it's amazing the goodies in my supply stash.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Pop of Thanks

Hello everyone,

Today's leftover card uses a great colour combination!

The card base is DCWV Silky Smooth.  The printed paper is Colorbok Mini paper pad layer on white Bazzill.  The sentiment is  Stampin' Up Warmest Regards stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on more Bazzill.  The ribbon is Hobby Lobby Decorative Trim.  The brad is of unknown origin.

All scraps and a leftover envelop on top of that!  It's amazing what finds are in the scrap bin!  I love this card!  The green, black and white just pop and are so amazing together.  One little note, using a black card base requires adding a scrap of white on the inside for a message.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Pretty Purple Poppies

Hello everyone,

Today's scrap paper has the purple and green colour combination that I find irresistible.

The card base is Bazzill.  The printed paper, of unknown origin, is layered on Stampin' Up Wisteria Wonders and Sage Shadow.  The image, Eccentric Images Poppy Longstocking, is stamped on Bazzill in Sage Shadow and coloured with Stampin' Up Pastels.  The sentiment is Stampabilities Happy Birthday 01 also stamped in Sage Shadow and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The embellishments are Close To My Heart Bitty Pearl Opaques.

I was so happy with yesterday's rose card that when I found this poppy paper, I decided to see if I could repeat.  I actually think the poppies are nicer than the roses.  I also find it somewhat shocking that for someone who doesn't really colour all that often, I had both a poppy and a rose stop that coordinated so perfectly with scrap paper.  What on earth does that say about my stash?

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Coming Up Roses

Hello everyone,

Today's card uses another leftover envelope and scraps from the paper bin.

The card base is Stampin' Up Very Vanilla.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Soft Suede.  The image is Close To My Heart Card Word Puzzle stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla and coloured with Stampin' Up Pastels.  The sentiment, Annabelle Stamps Sentimental Bluebells, is also stamped in Soft Suede.  The sentiment and image are highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

Isn't this scrap card lovely!  I think the vintage feel of the printed paper works so well with the pastels.  I probably could have put more effort into the colouring but I wanted this card to be quick and easy.  I also think the more I 'muck' with colouring images, the less satisfied I am with the results.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Coming Up Daisies

Hello everyone,

Today's card, using another leftover envelope, seems even smaller than yesterday's card, measuring 5 1/8" x 3 5/8".

The vanilla card base, printed paper and lavender bottom layer are of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart Happy Birthday, stamped in Stampin' Up Always Artichoke on more lavender and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The embellishments are also of unknown origin.

When I first realized how much product of unknown origin I felt somewhat guilty but the point of these projects are to use up some of the multitude of scrap product I have on hand.  Much of this material was bought long before I understood I needed to know product names or was gifted to me by family and friends.  I still want to use it regardless and I apologize in advance for not having the products details.  Besides, these daisies are just too pretty not to blog.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Birthday Butterfly

Hello everyone,

In my quest to use up the surplus envelopes in my supply stash and in contrast to the last two cards posted, I've crafted a couple of cards using the smallest envelopes I have on hand.  In addition to these two envelopes, I've also decided to try to use up some of the paper scraps I've had in my bin forever.  It will be interesting to see what I can accomplish.

The card base is Bazzill Basics.  The printed papers are of unknown origin.  The butterfly is an EK Success punch.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Thoughtful Messages stamped in Stampin' Up Always Artichoke on Bazzill Basics.  The embellishments are Doodlebug Spring Assortment Mini Pearls.

The envelope for this card is 5 5/8" x 3 1/2".  I decided to keep this card pretty simple, using only four elements.  I held back because this pretty background paper could have easily been filled with bling.  More would not necessarily have been better with such a small card.  I love this butterfly!  It also works wonderfully with the background paper.  If I'm not mistaken, both are from the same pad which was gifted to me, without a coverpage, ages ago.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Vintage Holly

Hello everyone,

Today's card is the second 9 1/4" x 4" card.  I just had to try something vintage Christmas.

The card base is Bazzill.  The printed paper is K & Company Susan Winget Glad Tidings Cardinal and Holly layered on Bazzill and American Crafts Crimson.  The sentiment is Annabelle Stamps Holly Branch stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Very Vanilla.  The image is Stampin' Up Watercolor Winter stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, and Tombow 177 and 856.  The embellishments are ZVA Self Adhesive Embelllishments.

Ever since I crafted this Poinsettia card, I've been dying to use the holly from the same set and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  The black outline of the stamp works well with the black background of the printed paper.  I though it would be a challenge to use two colours for the second layer of the stamp but once I pulled out the markers, it couldn't have worked better.  I did use my stamp positioner for the second layer of stamp, I like the results so much better than doing it by eye.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Wonderful Day

Hello everyone,

Our annual Fall charity card sale was held last week.  It was pretty successful.  Now it's time to start thinking about crafting cards for next year.  I have a huge pile of leftover envelops of all shapes and sizes that I've collected over the years and I'd intended to use for the next card sale but just ran out of time.  I'm determined to craft through them this year!

The card base is Stampin' Up Very Vanilla.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a copper and antique brushed gold of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Inkadinkado, stamped in Color Box Copper on Very Vanilla, highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, and layered on more antique brushed gold.  The embellishments are Forever In Time Gemstone Stickers Ritz Collection.

The envelops for this, and tomorrow's card measures 9 1/4" by 4" and are a lovely shimmer brown.  I've never crafted a card this size and it was a challenge to fill up all that space.  I had these lovely leftovers, from who knows where, in my scrap bin so I figured it would be interesting to make a leftover card.  The shininess was seemed made for a wedding card.  Oh how beautiful the results!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

More Girly Thanks

Hello everyone,

I had one little strip of shoe paper that I just had to use!

The printed papers are DCWV Girl Stack layered on Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise and a green of unknown origin (likely My Mind's Eye). The sentiment is Serendipity stamped in Tempting Turquoise on Whisper White, layered on Tempting Turquoise, and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The embellishments are Queen & Co Iridescent Rhinestones.

I really could call this a 'candy striper' card with these pink and white stripes.  I love how the stripes make the shoe paper pop.  I looked at a number of different options but they didn't work as well as this one.  I've used a tried and true layout that I favour with a really bold sentiment.  Gotta love this girlishness.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

More Thanks

Hello everyone,

While I've finished the thank you cards I want to send, I decided to keep going with the theme as it is Thanksgiving and I'm just thankful.

The printed paper is DCWV Girl Stack layered on Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise. The sentiment is Inkadinkado Thanks Words stamped in Taken With Teal on Whisper White, layered on Tempting Turquoise, and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The embellishments are Kaisercraft Basics Rhinestones.

I came across this DCWV Stack at Winners and just fell in love with all the girlishness.  I suspect I will end up gifting some of this paper as I'll never ever use it all.  I really wanted to show off the paper so I kept everything pretty simple and added just a little bit of bling.  I accidently used the wrong ink but didn't realize it until I crafted the next card.  Oops!  I'm hoping that no one will notice and just see this as a perfect girl card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

One Final Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today's card is for another girlfriend who graciously gave up a sunny Monday morning to take me to the train station.  We had a wonderful adventure thanks to the horrendous traffic and she gave me a wonderful memory, during an extremely stressful period, that will always make me laugh when I get to remembering that day.

The printed paper is DCWV Girl Stack layered on a textured yellow of unknown origin (likely DCWV) and Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White.  The embellishments are Kaisercraft Basics Rhinestones.  The entire card was highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

This is a fun card because, notwithstanding the difficult situation, getting me to the train was a hilarious adventure that worked out just fine in the end.  Not only that, but she provided some really wonderful chocolate to sooth my ills during the train ride. I'm very fortunate and extremely grateful to have such wonderful friends.

Thank you Luisa!

A Very Special Thanks

Hello everyone,

Today's thank you card is for one of my girlfriends whose family graciously took care of our dog Juno while we were out of town for the funeral.

The printed paper is Pebbles Inc Top Dog layered on Stampin' Up Dusty Durango and Early Espresso.  The vertical element is also Dusty Durango which was textured with Darice Paw Print Background embossing folder.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White.  The embellishments is Pebbles Cats and Dog Dimensional Stickers.

This is the first time Juno has been away from us and he was well taken care of.  We're so very appreciative that they took such good care of him.  It eased one of the many worries of those few weeks.  I'm very grateful to have such wonderful friends to rely upon.

Thank you Warren family!

More Thanks

Hello everyone,

Today's thank you card is for the funeral director who worked with my family to help us say goodbye to my father.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Elegant Soiree layered on Baja Breeze.  The image is Penny Black Inclinations stamped in Soft Suede and Baja Breeze on Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze and layered on Basic Grey.  The sentiment is Verve Thankful Accents in Early Espresso.

The staff at the funeral home were so helpful and understanding.  They really understood how my family needed and wanted to say goodbye to my father.  While the many tasks they helped us with may be part of their responsibilities, it was done in such a professional and sympathetic manner, it allowed us to remember our father without worrying about difficult funeral details.

Thank you Robert.

Some Very Heartfelt Thanks

Hello everyone,

I've a number of thank you cards coming over the next few days.  My father recently passed away and there were a number of people who were just amazing when my family and I were in need.

Today's card is for Father Dan and his team. I felt he really understood our family and supported the way our family wanted and needed to say goodbye. I was most impressed with his sermon during the funeral mass as he offered a perspective that continues to remind me that there is always a bigger plan and that my Dad is now in a much better place.

The printed paper is Stampin' Up Comfort Cafe layered on Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.  The image is DeNami Design Cross stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla, layered on Soft Suede and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The sentiment is also DeNami Design stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla, layered on Soft Suede and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The embellishments are ZVA Creative Self Adhesive Pearls.

I'm really pleased with this card.  The paper reminds me of stained glass and the image and sentiment were made for each other.  I've only a few cross images and don't use them all that often.  This is one of my favourites and I'm glad I could use it for this particular card.

Thank you Father Dan.

Baby Girl Hello

Hello everyone,

After all the past few sympathy cards it was really wonderful to craft this baby card that my mother commissioned.

The printed papers are Graphic 45 Little Darlings layered on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla.  The image is layered on a blue of unknown origin.  The sentiment Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla.  The embellishments are brads of unknown origin, likely Making Memories.

This is such a sweet and pretty baby card.  My mother particularly loves these Graphic 45 images so it was pretty much a no brainer to use this paper.  A lovely change after all the sympathy cards of late.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Good Bye Pauline

Hello everyone,

Today's card is for a girlfriend who passed away in August.  She was a very special woman who will be missed terribly.

The image is Sweet and Sassy stamps Butterfly Flourish stamped in Stampin' Up Baja Breeze on Whisper White and heat embossed with Close To My Heart Silver Pearl embossing powder.  The image is layered on Ranger Alcohol Inked glossy paper and plain glossy white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Verve Forever In Our Hearts stamped in StazOn Jet Black.  The embellishments are Multicrafts Keepsake Memories.

This is such a beautiful stamp and was perfect for the card I wanted to craft for Pauline.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Good Bye Ginetta III

Hello everyone,

This is last sympathy card for Ginetta.  This card went to her daughter in France so I crafted it in a single layer to ensure easy mailing.

The background was masked and sponged with Stampin' Up River Rock, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Brocade Blue, and Ranger Spun Sugar Distress inks.  The image is Heartfelt Creations Butterfly Medley stamped in Early Espresso and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The sentiment is Verve Forever In Our Hearts also stamped in Early Espresso.  The embellishments are Platinum Liquid Pearls.

I love the blocks of colour in the background.  I'm not as fussy on the Liquid Pearls as I think you need to practise somewhat to ensure a more even application.  This is a really great card for mailing as it has lots of interest with the colour but no depth for going through the mail.  I will remember this in future.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Good Bye Ginetta II

Hello everyone,

Today's sympathy card was crafted for one of Ginetta's daughters.

The printed paper is DoCrafts Papermania layered on Stampin' Up Pale Plum and a blue of unknown origin.  The image is Stampin' Up Both Way Blossoms stamped in Crumbcake in on Very Vanilla and coloured with Stampin' Pastels.  The sentiment is Gina K Fanciful Tags also stamped in Crumbcake ink.  The embellishments are Martha Stewart Pastel Mini Pearls.

Ginetta had amazing gardens thus I crafted sympathy cards for her daughters that reflected this love.  They are truly some of the most beautiful sympathy cards I've ever made.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Good Bye Ginetta

Hello everyone,

My oldest sister's mother-in-law, for whom I crafted this card, has passed away.  Ginetta was so much more than my sister's mother-in-law.  She was another mother to my husband and I, and another Grandmother to my daughter.  She was family and so special.  Today's card was crafted for my sister and brother-in-law, while the next two were crafted for her daughters.

The printed paper is Prima Fairy Floral "Sunlight Daisies" layered on Close To My Heart Juniper and a shimmery vanilla of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Verve Forever In Our Hearts stamped in Juniper ink on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and layered on more Juniper and shimmery vanilla.  The ribbon is Sheer Creations.  The embellishments are Oregon Raindrops.

I didn't want to craft anything somber for Ginetta.  She was always bright and cheerful.  Just being around her was a joy and our family will miss her.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Happy Birthday Sister

Hello everyone,

Today is my sister's birthday.  It's been a tough couple of months so I wanted something especially cheerful for her.

The printed paper is We R Memory Keepers "White Out" Hoopla-Gala layered on Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry and More Mustard.  The butterfly is Spellbinders Les Papillion Shapeabilities cut from Rich Razzleberry and More Mustard and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The sentiment is Sweet & Sassy Script Birthdays stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and layered on more Rich Razzleberry.  The embellishments are Close To My Heart Pearl Opaques.

I love this card.  Though the layout is quite simple, the colours are rich and vibrant and the butterfly is amazing.  I could have easily added more pearls to the printed paper but that would have been too much.  I know my sister will love this card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Puppy Layers

Hello everyone,

A friend and colleague of my husband celebrated his birthday in July.  This is the card I crafted for him.

The layers of printed papers are of unknown origin.  The photograph is one of my own.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart Happy Birthday and is stamped in Stampin' Up Really Rust.

My dog, Juno, just loves this friend even though he is not all that crazy about dogs.  I know he gets a real kick out of the Juno cards I craft for him.  The printed paper I used on this card and really great for masculine cards.  They were donated at the office to the group of crafters who donate cards to the department's Fall card sale.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
