Sweet Santa I

Hello everyone,

The next number of posts are teacher Christmas cards that were commissioned by a girlfriend.

The card bases are Stampin' Up Mint Macaron.  The printed paper is Stampin' Up Home For Christmas designer series paper layered on a white of unknown origin.  The sentiments are October Afternoon Boughs & Berries and Creative Expressions Holly Jolly Sentiment stamped in Early Espresso on a white of unknown origin. The layer is Stampin' Up Real Red.  The embellishments are Stampin' Up Mint Macaron buttons and Target twine, and Michael's ribbon.

I really love making the Christmas cards for my friend's kids teachers.  I get to craft some really fun cards.  All her kids are boys so I try hard not to go too feminine but stick to kid-inspired.  This Santa paper is really sweet.  I like that it's quite traditional.  There are also lots of colours with which to coordinate.  I had a lot of fun choosing sentiments and embellishments and because these won't be mailed, I didn't have to worry about bulk.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Well Earned Retirement

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a retirement card that was commissioned by a colleague.

The card base is Close To My Heart Colonial White.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Sorbet and Stampin' Up Early Espresso.  The sentiment is Avery Elle Sentimental stamped in Early Espresso on Colonial White and layered on more Sorbet.  The 'happy' element of the sentiment is cut with the coordinating die from Early Espresso.

The recipient of this card works in a library so I was thrilled to find this sheet of paper with books.  The printed paper has elements which are glittered so I decided not to add embellishments.  I like how the Early Espresso elements really pop against the muted colours in the rest of the card.  Given it's a work retirement card I added an extra panel on the interior to allow for as many signature as possible.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Sporty Congratulations

Hello everyone,

Today's card is for a friend of my daughter who just graduated from University with a sports management program.

The card base is Stampin' Up Smoky Slate.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Double Take stamped on a white of unknown origin with Altenew Forest Glades and Silver Stones.  The sentiment panel is layered on more white and a green of unknown origin.  The embellishments are Paper House 3D stickers, Recollections stickers, Karen Foster Design stickers, and ATD (Momenta) Metallic stickers.

This is a fantastic sporty congratulations card!  I chose really neutral colours so the stickers would be the primary focus.  I include all different types of sports stickers because I wasn't aware of his interest in any single sport.  I think it turned out particularly well.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Breast Cancer Thank You II

Hello everyone,

Today's post is the second thank you card I crafted on behalf of my daughter for a sponsor of her Run For The Cure event.

The card base is light pink Recollections.  The layers are a white of unknown origin and a dark pink Recollections that was textured with Couture Creations Washed Away embossing folder.  The sentiment is Spellbinders Thanks Expressions stamped in Altenew Rubellite ink and cut with the coordinating die from a white of unknown origin.  The ribbon is American Crafts.  The card is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.

When my daughter asked me to craft these cards, I knew I'd use this particular embossing folder because it always reminds me of ribbons.  It's also perfect for adding a titch of glitter.  I love the bold white sentiment!  Both of these thank you cards were well received!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Breast Cancer Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today and tomorrow's posts are thank you cards crafted on behalf of my daughter for a couple of ladies who sponsored her in this year's Run For The Cure.

The card base is a light pink Recollections.  The layers are a white of unknown origin, a dark pink Recollections and a light pink Bazzill textured with Couture Creations Entangle embossing folder.  the sentiment is Lawn Fawn Thanks Line border die cut from more white and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  The ribbon is of unknown origin (likely White Rose).  The card is highlighted with Fruit Punch Stickles.

Fighting breast cancer is all about pink and this card couldn't be more pink!  I thought placing the ribbon on the die cut border line was inspired.  The little bit of Sakura shimmer and the sparkling pink Stickles add just that little extra that makes this card even more special.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Glittering For Grand Nanna

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a very special card that I crafted for my husband's grandmother who turned 100 years old at the end of October.

The card base is a shimmery grey of unknown origin.  The printed paper is American Craft POW! Glitter Paper Orchid Spring layered on Paper Accents Glossy Mirrored Silver.  The sentiment is a combination of Provo Craft Wordsworth Olivia and Memory Box Happy Birthday Friendship Script die cut from more Paper Accents Glossy Mirrored Silver.  The butterflies are cut with Joy Crafts 6002/0322 die also from Paper Accents Glossy Mirrored Silver and are highlighted with Lavender Stickles.

My husband's grandmother like anything that glitters and is shiny and this card delivers both!  I love the glittered American crafts paper.  It was a bit of a challenge to affix the sentiment and I'm not sure I've got it all that centered.  This particular font is however very forgiving.  Once I'd finally got the sentiment glued, the card needed just a bit more hence, the shiny butterflies.  She loved her card!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Mom's Birthday

Hello everyone,

Today is my Mother's birthday and I'm posting the special card I crafted for her.

The card base is a rust Bazzill.  The printed paper is Photoplay Here Kitty Kitty layered on a light yellow Bazzill.  The sentiment is Elizabeth Craft Design Sentiment 1 - Celebration stamped on Recollections Vanilla in Altenew Pure Graphite.  The punch are cat is made with Stampin' Up Going Grey and the Owl punch.

My mom loves cats and when I came across this comic kitty paper with a red background, I knew I'd use it for her birthday card this year.  Ironically, I didn't have a cat embellishment that worked with the paper so I scoped out my punch art board on Pinterest and found this cute cat.  I think he's puuurfect for my Mom's card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Retirement Pansies

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a retirement card that I crafted for a girlfriend who hung up her building pass this fall.

The card base is a vanilla of unknown origin (likely Recollections).  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a brushed gold also of unknown origin.  The images are Altenew Pretty Pansies stamped in Limestone, Soft Lilac, Pink Diamond, Lavender Fields, Rose Quartz, and Frayed Leaf on an unknown vanilla and cut with the coordinating die.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Wild About Flowers stamped in Altenew Industrial Diamond on a vanilla of unknown origin and layered on more brushed gold.  The rhinestone embellishments are of unknown origin.

My girlfriend's favourite flower is the pansy so using this paper and stamp set was a no-brainer.  I really tried to replicate the die cut pansies with those on the printed paper and went through a variety of ink variations before I found one I liked.  I really love the different layers and I used a variety of dimensionals to pop up the cut pansies.  The slight shimmer of the gold layers adds just that little bit of extra to make this card really special.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Carpenter Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a very special thank you card that I crafted for the gifted craftsman who refurbished an old cabinet of my father's.

The card base is Pacon Beige and Canson Papercraft Sand stamped with Stampin' Up Gallery Grunge in Soft Suede.  The image is a tool die of unknown origin cut from a paper of unknown origin, layered on a printed paper of unknown origin and Canson Papercraft Champagne.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up Another Thank You stamped in more Soft Suede.

Mark was a true hero when he took on this project.  I'd got this cabinet from my parents basement years ago and stored it in our backyard shed with the best of intentions to refurbish it.  This spring was a bit of a do or die point and I was so upset at the idea of throwing out my Dad's cabinet that my loving husband called in a favour from a golfing buddy.  The before and after images above are proof of Mark's talents.  I wanted to show my appreciation by crafting this special tool card.  This is a very special cabinet which I'll treasure always.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Vanilla Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is the last duo in this commission of sentiment-less cards.

The card base is Recollections Vanilla.  The background image is Heartfelt Creations Large Elegant Word Background stamped in Altenew Vineyard Berry.  The images are Altenew Frosted Garden also stamped in Vineyard Berry and cut with the coordinating die.

The card base is Recollections Vanilla.  The images are Altenew Frosted Garden stamped on more vanilla in Altenew Jet Black and Versafine Onyx Black.  The image panel is layered on Stampin' Up Basic Black.

This is a lovely pair of toile cards.  At least that was I was trying to evoke.  The images are not as detailed as traditional toile but use the traditional colours and are very formal.  I used two black inks for the second card because the solid aspects of the images needed a little extra inking.  I didn't add any embellishments because I really wanted to focus on the overall toile feel of the cards.  They actually turned out even better than I'd imagined.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Pool Party Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's duo of cards are utterly lovely.

The card base is Stampin' Up Pool Party.  The image is Stampendous Butterfly Trio stamped in Altenew Galactic Stream on watercolour paper painted with LuminArte Carribean Mist, Star Gazer, Bashful Blue and Moon Beams Twinkling H2Os.  The image panel was layered on a white of unknown origin and is highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.

The card base is Stampin' Up Pool Party.  The image is Stampin' Up Faith in Nature stamped in Altenew Aqualicious on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Pool Party, white and a piece of Ranger Alcohol inked glossy paper.  The image is highlighted with White Opal Liquid Pearls.

I love this pair of soft blue cards.  The image on the first card is reminiscent of the Stampin' Up Swallowtail stamp but it's not quite as large and more vintage.  The image on the second card is quite small but the multiple layers and different reveal amounts have a great impact.  I'm not so fussy about the dots of Liquid Pearls and in hindsight probably should have used a ribbon with a flat bow.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Blue Bayou Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a duo of non-traditional winter cards.

The card base is Stampin' Up Blue Bayou.  The image panel was stamped with Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Snowflakes stamped in Close To My Heart Twilight on a white of unknown origin.  The panel was layered on Paper Accent Glossy Mirror Silver and more white.  The card was highlighted with Recollections Rhinestones and Diamond Stickles.

The card base is Stampin' Up Blue Bayou.  The image is Inkadinkado Winter Trails stamped on a white of unknown origin with Stampin' Up Lost Lagoon and heat embossed with Close To My Heart Silver Pearl.  The embellishments are Mark Richards 3mm Silver Metals.

I couldn't resist crafting a pair of winter cards for this series.  This duo was a bit more of a challenge to craft without using sentiments.  I needed to hold exercise some restraint to be satisfied just using images.  Adding embellishments, Stickles and using heat embossing helped with the overall result because it added interest.  I'm actually quite happy with this pair.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Black Magic Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a pair of 'black magic' cards.

The card base is Recollections Black.  The image is Stampin' Up Bordering on Romance stamped on Recollections Black in Ranger Glacier White and heat embossed with Stampin' Up white embossing powder.  The images are painted with LuminArte Mango Mamba, Mystic Blue, Blue Zircon, Bolivian Blue and Moss Agate Twinkling H2Os.  The image panel is layered on a white of unknown origin.

The card base is Recollections Black.  The image is Stampin' Up Embrace Life stamped on Recollections Black in Ranger Glacier White and heat embossed with Stampin' Up white embossing powder.  The images are painted with LuminArte Lemongrass, Coral Berry, Deep Coral, Mango Mamba and Playful Peony Twinkling H2Os.  The image panel is layered on a white of unknown origin and DCWV All About Girls.

This is a favourite stamping technique.  I love the pop of colour on a black background.  I've never really been able to find a good white ink so I use white embossing powder.  As an added benefit, embossing helps keep the paint inside the lines.  Once I decided to do these two cards, I thought it would be interesting to do one in red and one in blue.  These two stamp sets I've used before when do this technique as I find they're perfect for painting.  Both results are fantastic!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Brocade Blue Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's duo is a great pair of butterflies.

The card base is Stampin' Up Brocade Blue.  The image is Technique Tuesday BoHo Buzz stamped on Recollections White in Brocade Blue ink and heat embossed with Stampendous Kaleidoscope Transparent embossing powder.  The image panel is layered on a mirrored silver and a white of unknown origin.  The card is highlighted with Waterfall Stickles.

The card base is Stampin' Up Brocade Blue.  The image is Magenta stamped on Recollections White in Brocade Blue ink and heat embossed with Stampendous Kaleidoscope Transparent embossing powder.  The image panel is layered on a mirrored silver of unknown origin.  The embellishments are Me & My Big Ideas Rhinestone stickers.

I couldn't craft a commission of this type without including a few butterflies.  I like how different these images are even though I used the same ink and embossing powder.  I think I did well with the embellishment/Stickles placement - not too many, not too few.  I find the blue/white/silver colour scheme really appealing.  Though it's not really visible in these photos, the Kaleidoscope embossing powder is really nice.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

White Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's sentiment-less duo use very traditional white card bases.

The card base is a white Bazzill.  The image is Stampin' Up Beautiful Peacock stamped on Recollections White in Altenew Volcano Lake, Lavender Fields and Ocean Waves.  The image is layered on a light purple and mint green Bazzill.  The embellishments are Crafts rhinestone stickers.

The card base is a white Bazzill.  The image is Stampin' Up Beautiful Peacock stamped on Recollections White in Altenew Midnight Violet, Desert Night, and Emerald.  The image is layered on a dark purple of unknown origin and a navy Bazzill.  The embellishments are Crystal Stickers 3mm Sarcelle.

As I've crafted this commission in 'duos', I decided to try a light and dark version of the same card.  I borrowed this stamp set from a neighbor and thought it would be perfect for the two versions.  Altenew offers inks in shades of four (lightest to darkest) and were the perfect colours for a peacock.  This isn't the easiest stamp to use but a stamp positioner is a must to get all the elements aligned.  I'm quite happy with both the cards!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

River Rock Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a pair of very soft, neutral sentiment-less cards.

The card base is Stampin' Up River Rock.  The image is Hero Arts Three Ferns stamped in Close To My Heart Mink on a white of unknown origin and layered on Close To My Heart Grey Flannel and more white.  The embellishments are Fabricland.

The card base is Stampin' Up River Rock.  The image is Stampin' Up Just Believe stamped in Close To My Heart Heather on Stampin' Up Whisper White and layered on Close To My Heart Desert Sand, Slate and Cocoa.  The embellishments are Stampin' Up Metallic Pearls.

I really like these nature-inspired cards.  The first card was really quick and easy.  The second card, still on the easy side, uses some leftover pieces of Close To My Heart card stock.  I love how all the browns and greys work together.  The layout of the strips really adds interest.  I'm not convinced about the pearl placement but it's not the worst I've ever done and it's still a great result.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Pumpkin Pie Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's sentiment-less pair are, once again, autumn-inspired.

The card base is Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie.  The image is Stampin' Up Medallion stamped in Cameo Coral, Close To Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust on a white of unknown origin.  The image is layered on a white of unknown origin.  The image is highlighted with Mercury Glass Stickles.

The card base is Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie.  The image is IndigoBlu Ink Splat Butterfly stamped in Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy, Summer Sun and Really Rust on a white of unknown origin.  The image is layered on Close To My Heart Sunflower.  The card is highlighted with EK Success Dots "Brights".

I love this Pumpkin Pie card base!  I chose images to which I could apply multiple colours of inks.  I used the little square spots because they're easier to control.  I'm particularly enamored with the Medallion image.  It's always been a favourite but it's somewhat tucked away so I don't always think to pull it out.  It's just striking on this card.  The butterfly image also turned out very well although it doesn't reflect the different ink colours as well as I would have hoped.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Taken With Teal Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's sentiment-less duo also uses the watercolour crayon technique.

The card base is Stampin' Up Taken With Teal.  The image is Stampin' Up Asian Artistry stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Taken With Teal, Handsome Hunter, Always Artichoke and Wild Wasabi watercolour crayons.  The image panel is layered on more Taken With Teal and Vanilla.  The card is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.

The embellishments are Crafts rhinestone stickers.

In mind eyes, these are just about the perfect sentiment-less cards.  The watercolour technique turned out beautifully.  The images are the perfect scale on this size card base and pop beautifully thanks to the layers.  The embellishments are just enough to add that little extra!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Barely Banana Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's pair of cards have a distinct Asian feel.

The card base is Stampin' Up Barely Banana.  The image is Stampin' Up Asian Artistry stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and More Mustard watercolour crayons.  The image panel is layered on Close To My Heart light and dark Fern.  The embellishments are Recollections Adhesive Pearls.

The card base is Stampin' Up Barely Banana.  The image is Stampin' Up Asian Artistry stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Rose Red and Summer Sun watercolour crayons.  The image panel is layered on Close To My Heart Fern and Ruby.  The embellishment is Marianne Design Butterflies.

This is a favourite and easy stamping technique.  The only trick is not to use too much water otherwise you'll end up with a muddy and blurry image.  I often use this stamp set when doing the watercolour crayon technique because the images are pretty easy to colour and the results are wonderful.  I'm not happy with my choice of light yellow card base.  Yellow has always been a challenging colour for me to work with.  Still, these are a lovely pair of cards.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Early Espresso Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is another pair of nature-inspired sentiment-less cards.

The card base is Stampin' Up Early Espresso.  The image is Penny Black Inclinations stamped in Soft Suede on a light yellow Recollections and layered on more Soft Suede and light yellow.

The card base is Stampin' Up Early Espresso.  The image is Hero Arts Pop Stems stamped in Soft Suede on Recollections Vanilla and layered on Soft Suede.  The banners are punched from Recollections Vanilla.  The card is highlighted with Cinnamon Stickles.

The images are a slightly on the larger size which are great for cards without sentiments.  They're also great on these square card bases.  I love how the simple images, stamped on vanilla/yellow pop against the darker card bases.  The Pop Stems image is perfect for a adding a little glitter!

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Delightful Dijon Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a lovely sentiment-less pair which uses a favourite colouring/stamping technique.

The card base is Stampin' Up Delightful Dijon.  The image is Hero Arts Tall Flower stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Stampin' Up Garden Green, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Rich Razzleberry watercolour crayons.  The image panel is layered on Bravo Burgundy.  The ribbon is Offray. The embellishment is of unknown origin.

The card base is Stampin' Up Delightful Dijon.  The image is Hero Arts Exotic Bloom stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Stampin' Up Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Garden Green, More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler watercolour crayons.  The image panel is layered on Stampin' Up Really Rust.  The vanilla mini banners are embellished with Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.

This pair of cards uses a favourite technique with a couple of favourite stamps.  I coloured the stamps (it only really works on red rubber) with the crayons, spritzed them with a little bit of water, then stamped on the paper.  You can't use too much water or the images will smudge and blur.  The final results are wonderful.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Bravo Burgundy Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's sentiment-less duo card post focuses on two lovely sweet images.

The card base is Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy.  The image is Hero Arts Native Grass stamped on Recollections Vanilla after being coloured with Tombow 098, 837 and 933.  The image panel is layered on a piece of Ranger Alcohol inked glossy paper and more Recollections Vanilla.  The embellishments are Queen & Co Chocolate Delight Ice Rox

The card base is Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy.  The image is Hero Arts Delicate Rose Stems stamped in Altenew Permanent Black and painted with LuminArte Sweet Alfalfa and Jasper Red Twinkling H2Os.  The image panel is layered on a gold of unknown origin.  The embellishments are Stampin' Up Metallic Pearls.

I love the simple images on both of these cards.  They are on the smaller size so they really pop on these card bases.  I didn't even try to fill in the blank space but decided to let the images be the primary focus.  A few simple embellishments was all the extra needed for great results.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

More Mustard Duo

Hello everyone,

Today's post is another two cards in the sentiment-less commission.

The card base is Stampin' Up More Mustard.  The image is Hero Arts Starburst Lace stamped in More Mustard on Recollections White.  The embellishment is EK Success Halloween Dots.

The card base is Stampin' Up More Mustard.  The image is Inkadinkado stamped in Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust on Recollections White.  The images are layered on the coordinating Stampin' Up papers, more Recollections White and Recollections Mercury Glass.

These are both lovely autumn cards. The card bases really inspired the overall theme.  The images are ones I especially love but for some reason, don't use all that often.  I cannot explain why.  The simplicity of the first card is especially appealing.  The multiple layers of the second card, especially with the Mercury Glass paper, are just fantastic.  Both wonderful results.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

Blackberry Bliss Duo

Hello everyone,

I'm posting a new series of sentiment-less cards that was commissioned by a girlfriend.  This series was a lot of fun to craft, even though it was a bit of a challenge to not use sentiments.

The card base is Stampin' Up Blackberry Bliss.  The image is Stampin' Up Swallowtail stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Recollections White and layered on Paper Accents Glossy Mirror Silver.  The card is highlighted with White Opal Liquid Pearls.

The card base is Stampin' Up Blackberry Bliss.  The image is Hero Arts Artistic Circles stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Recollections White and highlighted with Diamond Stickles.

This is one of my all time favourite Stampin' Up colours.  It was the perfect inspiration for the start of this challenging thirty-card commission.  The images are large and well-suited for these types of cards.  Stamped in Blackberry Bliss, the images facilitated two quick and easy cards.

I hope you enjoy this cards and come back to SPI again soon.

A Little Bit of Grunge

Hello everyone,

Today's post is the last thank you card in this series that was commissioned by a girlfriend.

The card base is Close To My Heart Eggplant.  The printed paper is of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart A True Thank You stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Eggplant.  The background images are Stampin' Up Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Stampin' Up Perfect Plum and Early Espresso, Close To My Heart Ruby, and Altenew Sand Dunes.  The embellishments are Fabricland.

This was a more challenging card.  It's not what I'd consider completely business appropriate but I think it would appeal to a more younger client.  I really loved the colours in the printed paper and was grunge-inspired by the print.  I also drew on the printed paper in my colour choices.  The square embellishments are just to be a little contrary!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Another Mini Hexagon Thanks

Hello everyone,

Today's post uses more hexagon printed paper.

The card base is Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a white of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Not Quite Navy.  The embellishments are from Multicrafts.

I think this navy and white hexagon makes for a great business thank you card.  It's crisp, clean and simple.  Given the different shades of blue on the printed paper, I could have used a different blue card base but there is something about navy and white that is really striking.  I wish I'd had hexagonal embellishments!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Mini Hexagon Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today's thank you card uses another piece of hexagon printed paper.

The card base is Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranate.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a white of unknown origin.  The image is cut with Frantic Stamper's Solid Butterfly die from more Purely Pomegranate and was highlighted with Wink of Stella Clear 999 and Diamond Stickles.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

I really like the darker pink card base.  I don't have much Purely Pomegranate paper left so was thrilled to find enough for this card.  I think the big butterfly die cut is fantastic and though you don't really see it in the photo, the hint of glitter from the Wink of Stella is lovely.  This is another really simple card but it's very effective.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Hexagon Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a great neutral thank you card.

The card base is Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a white of unknown origin.  The images are Stampin' Up Six-Sided Sampler stamped in Certainly Celery on a white of unknown origin and are cut with the coordinated paper punch.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

I'll be posting a couple of cards with different colours of this printed paper.  I thought this was great printed paper for unique business thank you cards.  Having this stamp set and coordinating punch helped make choosing the elements pretty straightforward.  This is a great more neutral/masculine card.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Funky Diagonal Thank You

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a rather funky thank you card.

The card base is Close To My Heart Daisy White.  The printed paper is of unknown origin (likely Stampin' Up) layered on Stampin' Up Pool Party.  The sentiment is a stamp of unknown origin stamped in Soft Suede on a white of unknown origin.  The banners are punched from Pool Party, So Saffron and Soft Suede and are highlighted with Kaisercraft Miss Nelly pearls.

I love this funky diagonal.  It has great colours in a combination that I wouldn't generally think of using.  Like many of the cards in this series, this card uses a really simple layout.  The sentiment isn't layered and in a darker ink, it really pops.  The little banners, a favourite embellishment, draw from the colours in the printed paper.  This is a card I could easily repeat.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Flourished In Black And White

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a wonderfully flourished black and white thank you card.

The card base is DCWV Silky Smooth card base.  The printed paper is of unknown origin.  The sentiment is Verve Amazing Wishes and Stampin' Up Four Frames heat embossed is Stampin' Up White embossing powder.

This couldn't have been an easier card to craft.  I did trim the paper carefully so I had enough room to place the sentiment.  I think the contrast of the white on black sentiment against the black on white printed paper is really sharp.  Once again I debated adding embellishments but in the end, I don't think it was needed.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
