This card is base upon two challenges. The Sisterhood of Crafters was looking for Japanese inspired cards while No Time To Stamp provided the sketch. This card is likely more Chinese as opposed to Japanese but, the overall Asian feel is quite suitable for the recipient.
The background paper is DCWV Far East Stack. The middle layer is Stampin' Up Sage Shadow textured with Cuttlebug's Leafy Branch dry embossing folder under which is a piece of DCWV Brights textured cardstock. The ribbon is Dollarama Crafts. The brad are from Multicrafts. The sentiment is Gina K Tag Lines which is stamped on a scrap of Stampin' Up Whisper White.
I really like this card. It is not necessarily traditionally Asian but it is certainly has an Asian feel to it. The melding of blues and greens is a favourite of mine. I picked up the ribbon on a whim because I liked the hues but really, it doesn't suit that many cards though is perfect for this one. I'm pretty sure this card will be well-received.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
