Hello everyone,
Today's card is for the husband of one of my colleagues. She asked for something water related so I decided to play with the rowboat stamp again.
The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus Birthday Boy Plaid. The solid papers are Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Soft Sky. The image is Gina K Follow Your Dreams stamped in StazOn Timber Brown on Whisper White and coloured with Faber-Castell Watercolour Pencil Crayons. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Delightful Dozen.
I love this card. I think my colouring is improving. I used the watercolour pencils after which I went over them very lightly with a watercolour pen. I really love the effect. It doesn't have to be absolutely perfect because the watercolour are so forgiving as long as you don't apply too much water. I really hope this is what my colleague had in mind.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

What a fabulous card. I have spent my entire morning 4 1/2 hours reading your entire blog and love everything you have created. It is so nice to have a Canadian blogger to follow. I am fairly new to card making and purchased a stash of paper only to find I gaze at it for hours wondering what to do with it. So many of your cards are the exact same paper as I have. Wow! now I know what to do with it. A huge thanks for all the great ideas and really like your 1 sheet wonders. So looking forward to reading and learning more. Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful comments! I love meeting someone with similar styles. I'm always keen to introduce this wonderful craft to our "cult" as my husband would say. Please let me know if I can help with anything.
