Hello everyone,
I was going through my scrap this morning and I came across a piece of designer paper that would make two great cards. Today I'm posting the horizontal version.
The printed paper is Stampin' Up Sweet Pea layered on Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip. The image is Stampin' Up Bordering on Romance, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and heat embossed with Close To My Heart Cocoa embossing powder. The image was coloured with Stampin' Pastels then layered with Close To My Heart Liquid Glass. The sentiment is Stampendous Special Messages. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Mocha Opaques.
I'm very pleased with this card. I always bemoan my colouring skills but pastels (which are really chalks) make it so easy. The Liquid Glass adds some wonderful texture and shine, an effect which I've not done in a long while. I find the Liquid Glass always works best when I heat emboss first.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
Gisèle
I like this card too. I struggle with those long strips of printed paper as I always feel the card HAS to be vertical with the strip close to the left hand side. You have reminded me that it does not HAVE to be that way.
