The background is Stampin' Up Rose Red textured with Sizzix Eyelet and highlighted with Fruit Punch Stickles. The patterned layer is BasicGrey Sugar Rush. The focal image is layered on a scrap of Rose Red and Close To My Heart Colonial White. The image is Stampin' Up Pretty Amazing. The metal flowers are of unknown origin from my crafting stash. I bought them years ago to enhance some framing. The ribbon is Michael's Special Value. The buttons are Karen Foster Riviera Button Brads. The sentiment is Sweet 'n Sassy Birthday Greetings.
I'm still working on Birthday cards for my nieces. I wanted this to be exceptionally girly so I used the BasicGrey paper as a jumping off point. I think where I went wrong is that I used too many elements and got caught up in trying to bring it all together in a cohesive fashion. Still, I do finally like this card. Once I pulled out the metal flowers, it came together beautifully. I know my niece will like it.
I hope you enjoy and come back to SPI again soon.
