Many Merry Christmas's

Hello everyone,

This should be one of my last Christmas cards this year although given my depleted stash, I'll have to work hard to build it up again. This card is for one of my best friends. I had a chance to do some blog surfing today and there are any number of challenge for which this card will suit. Last Friday's Stampin' for the Weekend asked for a Christmas card. Saturday's Allsorts challenge was anything goes. Tuesday's A Spoon Full of Sugar was a Christmas challenge and Papertake Weekly's challenge was anything goes. Today's ABC challenge was to keep it simple; the Fab 'n Funky challenge was to do a quick and easy project; the For Fun challenge was anything goes and the Belli challenge was anything goes.

The focal image is Stampin' Up Brushed Gold textured with Crafts-Too Christmas Greeting folder layered on a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso textured with Sizzix Small Dots. The image was highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.

This was a super easy and very quick card. I've been trying to use this embossing folder since I first picked it up and I'm not disappointed. This card turned out beautifully and my friend will just love it!

Two More Clean & Simple Valentines

Hello everyone,

I'm really dragging today so looked to clean and simple cards for today's post. Today's Belli Challenge called for hearts while yesterday's Spoon Full of Sugar challenge was a freestyle card so I combined the two for a couple of really clean and simple valentines.

The card bases are from Halcraft. The images and sentiments are TPC Studio Hugs and Kisses. Though hard to discern in these photos, there are also two horizontal score lines on the hugs + kisses card. It is a very impactful element on such clean and simple cards.

I quite love the simplicity of these cards. I have to apologize for the terrible photo. My camera doesn't like all the white space on these cards so it is very difficult to get decent photos.

I hope you enjoy these cards and come back to SPI again soon.

So Very Pretty In Pink

Hello everyone,

Believe it or not, I've managed to create a four-challenge card today. The Artful Inkables challenge was to make a monochromatic card. The Creative Card Crew challenge was to use distressing on your card. A Spoon Full of Sugar asked for cards with hearts. Finally, I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Whew!

The background paper, which is distressed, is My Mind's Eye Magnolia. The heart paper is K & Company also distressed. The two side pieces, in Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and a scrap of unknown textured cardstock, were both cut with the EK Success Scalloped Diamond punch. The heart was cut with Sizzix Heart #8 and glittered with Martha Stewart kunzite glitter.

Can this card be any more pink?! I think it will be a really sweet card for a young lady who really appreciates pink and glitter. I like it!

Please enjoy and come back to SPI again soon.

Challenge Card

Hello everyone,
The extra day off today was absolutely worth it as my husband and I managed to get the garden put to bed for the winter. What a job! It also means that I'm too tired be totally original so I decided to this week's A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge. Still, this card is my second attempt and I had to do a couple of the elements more than once.

This card is all about Stampin' Up's Rich Razzleberry. I love that color! I used the Circle Circus on Whisper White card stock. The sentiment is Short and Sweet. The background pieces are Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper cut with a Spellbinder Nestabilities label. I highlighted dots with Star Dust Sticklers.

I hope you enjoy the card and come back to SPI again soon.
