A Tag For You

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a wine bottle tag requested by my mother.

The tag base is Bazzill Walnut Cream.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Recollections Black.  The medallion is Jim Holtz Ranger Distress Collection Core'dinations Worn Lipstick trimmed with Martha Stewart's Swirling Lace Punch.  The sentiment is Avery Elle Oh Happy Day stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Walnut Cream and layered on more Worn Lipstick and Black.  The sentiment panel is highlighted with Rouge Liquid Pearls.  The ribbon is American Crafts.

My mother quite liked the wine bottle tags I showcased over the holidays and asked me to make her one to have on hand.  I decided to go a little on the girly side using a pink/white/black colour combination.  I also went all out with the medallion, embellishments and ribbon.  It was a really nice change from making Christmas tags and I love the result.

Sweet Santa

Hello everyone,

Today's post is another really quick and easy Christmas card.

The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Recollections Grey and green Jim Holtz Ranger Core'dinations.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Clear Stamps Set stamped in Altenew Jet Black on Recollections Vanilla and layered on a glittered platinum/brown of unknown origin.

This is a truly amazing card that came together in minutes.  I carefully trimmed this image from a 12 X 12 sheet of paper to fit the dimensions of the card base.  I chose a straight forward sentiment that fit in this oval punch.  I wanted a bit of sparkles so I punched the layer from a great piece of glittered paper.  The platinum/brown colour works perfectly with the vintage style of the image.

Shattered On A Wire

Hello everyone,

Once again, while in the 'thinking of you' mode, I decided to see if I could craft something more along the masculine side.

The layered papers are Jim Holtz Kraft-core Shattered cardstock.  The background image is Stampin' Up Work of Art stamped in More Mustard on Recollections Vanilla.  The image is Penny Black Birds On Wire stamped in Early Espresso.  The sentiment is Rubbernecker Best Wishes also stamped in Early Espresso.

I had my brother in my when I was pulling this card together.  The colours are inspired by Mardi Gras (he lived in New Orleans for many years) and the birds are reminiscent of the view from his 8th floor balcony.  It quite a simple card but lots of interest with all the patterns and the birds really do pop without the need for any more embellishments.

Hello Puppy

Hello everyone,

We've got a new addition to the dog park gang.  He is so darn cute!

The printed paper is DCWV Pets Stack layered on Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise.  The photo is layered on more Tempting Turquoise.  The sentiment is Hero Arts Say It All stamped in Jim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink on Whisper White.  The embellishments are Jolees Gold and Bronze Studs.

I just love this card!  Ranger is cute as the dickens.  I couldn't resist making this card and the 'hello' sentiment seemed so fitting for this new puppy.  I did cards for many of the daily dog walkers but I didn't get photos of all the dogs so it's something I have to work on because these cards are just so darn fun to craft.
