Hello everyone,
Today's post is another sympathy card from the series I've been crafting for my neighbor's work.
The card base is Close To My Heart Glacier. The printed paper is Scrap Within Reach "The Cottage" Artistic layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Serendipity Stamps stamped in Early Espresso on Recollections Vanilla. The embellishment is Multicrafts.
I found this card base and printed paper in my bin of bases and envelops, and decided it would make a perfect sympathy card. The printed paper is not the greatest scale for a card because the images are rather large but I think it works well enough because the layout is extremely simple. I've not used my Serendipity Stamps stamps in a while and came across this one when I was crafting yesterday's card.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Nature Still Calling
Hello everyone,
Today's post is the masculine version of yesterday's card.
The printed paper is Scrap With In Reach "The Cottage" layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Rubbernecker Best Wishes stamped in Early Espresso on Close To My Heart Colonial White and layered on more Early Espresso. The horizontal strip is a crimped piece of Close To My Heart Sweet Leaf. The embellishments are of unknown origin.
I think this is a fairly decent masculine card. I used the metal embellishments to reinforce the masculine feel. The crimper was close at hand on my work surface and I really liked the texture on some of my earlier cards so thought it was worth repeating here. This card really took me just minutes to pull together. It helped that many of the elements had already been selected further to yesterday's version.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Gone To Nature
Hello everyone,
I still have a few more cards I want to craft for this latest series. This card goes in an entirely different direction that the last few cards.
The printed paper is Scrap With In Reach "The Cottage" layered on Close To My Heart Colonial White and Crystal Blue. The images are Sweet 'n Sassy Nature Silhouettes stamped in Close To My Heart Sweet Leaf and Stampin' Up Close To Cocoa on Colonial White and layered on Stampin' Up Early Espresso. The sentiment is Rubbernecker Best Wishes stamped in Early Espresso on Colonial White and layered on Close To My Heart Sweet Leaf. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Pearl Opaques.
I wanted to try using the same printed paper as well as the same sentiment for both the masculine and feminine versions of this pair. I'm not sure about the femininity of this card but I thought by adding pearls it would work. I think it really will depend upon how masculine I can make tomorrow's card. I really had to sort through my stamps to find an image that spoke to the printed paper. I think this particular set works. I wasn't all that certain about adding the bird but I think I made it work by stamping just a little bit off the paper. I know its not perfectly to scale but I think it still works.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Circles of Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another masculine thank you card.
The printed paper is Scrap Within Reach Aldridge layered on Close To My Heart Outdoor Denim. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Outdoor Denim on Recollections Vanilla and layered on more Outdoor Denim. The embellishments are Close To My Heart Artisan Durables Studs.
This is another very simple thank you card. Like yesterday's card, there is not too much fuss and muss here. The metal studs, though with a textured rim, work well with the circles on the printed paper and add some masculinity to the design. The printed paper has been a favourite for past masculine cards. This layout is also one I've used many times.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Marvelously Male
Hello everyone,
Another masculine birthday card today!
The printed paper is Scrap Within Reach layered on Stampin' Up Night of Navy and Close To My Heart Cocoa. The sentiment is Penny Black Happy, Happy stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White and layered on more Cocoa and Night of Navy. The embellishment is My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Oliver enamel dots.
I have a real thing for offset layering. I think it is because I can really highlight the printed papers that I love so much. This particular card used a bunch of different scraps that I just kept playing with until I found a pleasing layout. I so love it when cards come together like this.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Thinking of You Once Again
Hello everyone,
I'm still working on some cards for my girlfriend. She asked for at least one masculine 'thinking of you' card and this is a great one!
The printed paper is Scrap Within Reach layered on Close To My Heart Cocoa and Stampin' Up Sahara Sand. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Sweet Essentials stamped in StazOn Midnight Blue on Very Vanilla. The embellishments are of unknown origin.
I've done quite a few masculine cards over the last little while but I think this is one of the best I've done yet. I love this paper, these colours, the simple sentiment. I've used layouts like this before, especially when I want to make a horizontal card with really strong paper. It's also a great layout for using scraps.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Brotherly Birthday
Hello everyone,
Today's card is for my wonderful brother. He has been out of the country for a good number of years but is coming home this summer. We're pretty excited to have him closer.
The printed paper is Scrap Within Reach Aldridge layered on Close To My Heart Outdoor Denim. The sentiment is Gina K Follow Your Dreams stamped in Stampin' Up Night of Navy on Very Vanilla and layered on more Aldridge paper.
I purposly kept this layout simple and geometric as it seemed to me that's what this fantastic printed paper called for. Besides, my brother is not into the fanciful though he always appreciates anything handmade. I thought long and hard about doing a one sheet wonder with this sheet of paper but just couldn't resist using it for my brother.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
