Panda Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone,

Today's post is a birthday card I crafted for one of my sisters.

The card base is Momenta Textured card stock.  The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Stampin' Up Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.  The image is Stamp Oasis stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Recollections Vanilla and layered on more Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches All Year Cheer also stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Recollections Vanilla.  The embellishment is of unknown origin highlighted with Lime Green Stickles.

Like my daughter, this sister has an affinity for panda bears and we've accommodated this love over the years with a variety of panda bear gifts.  It's been a while since I crafted her a birthday card with panda bears and this pair are particularly adorable.  I chose this paper for the background because it had an Asian style that really suited the image and a very wide variety of colours with which to coordinate.  I love the results.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Milestone Birthday

Hello everyone,

Today's post is the birthday card I crafted for my daughter's upcoming birthday.

The card base is Stampin' Up Lemon Lime Twist.  The background image is Local King Rubber Stamp - Garden Delight stamped on a white of unknown origin with Aurora Color Box ink and layered on Recollections Black.  The image is Stamp Oasis also stamped on a white of unknown origin in Versafine Onyx Black and layered on more Recollections Black.  The sentiment is Joy Crafts Sayings 6410/0308 stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.  The embellishments are Bazzill Clear 3-4 mm jewels.

I knew I wanted to craft a panda card for my daughter but I'm not sure if this was what I envisioned, though I love the results.  This is a cute pair of pandas!  The background stamp, one which I don't use that often, takes multiple inks wonderfully because the images are nicely spaced and any colour overlap still looks great.  I think my daughter will love her card!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Birthday Bears

Hello everyone,

My darling daughter recently celebrated her 17th birthday.  She has always had a thing for panda bears so I often come across panda stamps I just can't resist.

The printed paper is Graphic 45 Bird Song Collection "Enlightenment" layered on Recollections Vanilla and Bazzill purple.  The image is Stamp Oasis stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on more Vanilla and layered on more Bazzill.  The sentiment is Rubbernecker Happy Birthday also stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Vanilla.  The embellishments are Gold Liquid Pearls.

These pandas are just too darn cute!  I picked up this oriental inspired paper last year because I just loved the striking colours and thought the design was wonderfully different.  My daughter thought I was nuts.  She loved the card so I think she finally understood the appeal of these paper lanterns.

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Jolly Shimmering Holly

Hello everyone,

This is the last of the Christmas cards I've crafted for the hostess gift for my daughter's upcoming student exchange.

The printed paper is Little Yellow Bicycle Making Merry layered on Stampin' Up Basic Black.  The image is Stamp Oasis stamped in StazOn Jet Black on Recollections and painted with LuminArte Ruby Red and Emerald Twinkling H2Os.  The sentiment is Taylored Expressions Big Bold Christmas stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Recollections, painted with more Ruby Red and Emerald Twinkling H2Os, and layered on more Basic Black.  The ribbon is Michael's Special Value.  The embellishments are Teresa Collins Fabrications.

This is a stamp I recently acquired.  It appealed because I figured it would be easy to colour and it certainly was!  I couldn't craft a set of Christmas cards without including at least one with holly.  I choose this sentiment because it had that little sprig of holly that coordinated with the image.  I so liked yesterday's card with the black that I just had to do another.  It all came together so well with this lovely plaid paper!

I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
