Hello everyone,
Today's post is another simple and sophisticated thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Daisy White card base. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Recollections Black and Close To My Heart Cotton Candy. The sentiment is Avery Elle Oh Happy Day stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin. The pink metal flower embellishment is from Mulitcrafts.
Pink, black, white and grey are another fantastic colour combination. In this particular case, these simple stripes make for a really great card. I didn't feel the sentiment panel needed any additional layering. I searched for an embellishment for quite a while and was thrilled to find this pink metal flower that I'd found at Multicrafts ages ago. It's a great card!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Blue Petaled Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another sweet and simple thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Daisy White card base. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Outdoor Denim. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Thank You Kindly stamped in Outdoor Denim on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Outdoor Denim. The ribbon is Michael's Special Value.
Blue and white together is always a winning colour combination. I really love the simplicity of this card. This has become a favourite ribbon application which I discovered via this Simplicity By Late Blossom blog post. I really love that it comes out quite flat which allows for easy mailing. In navy and silver, this ribbon is perfect and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Blue Argyle Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another great thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Daisy White. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Sky. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Thank You Kindly stamped in Outdoor Denim on a white of unknown origin. The card is highlighted with White Opal Liquid Pearls and Diamond Stickles.
This is one of my favourite cards in this series. The photo doesn't really do it justice. I really intended this to be a somewhat more masculine card but after Saturday's card, I couldn't resist seeing what it would look like with plenty of Stickles and Liquid Pearls. So simple and utterly phenomenal!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Naturally Neutral
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another softly simple thank you card.
The card base is DCWV Silky Smooth Cardstock. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Chocolate. The sentiment is Stampin' Up So Very Much stamped in Stampin' Up Early Espresso and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.
I always love the opportunity to stamp a sentiment directly on printed paper. This is a particular favourite sentiment with it's larger scale and simple lines. I thought it worked particularly well with the simple images and lines of the printed paper. It is also perfect for highlighting with the Sakura glitter. I didn't add any other embellishments because simple really was the key for this card.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Softly Sophisticated
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a soft and sophisticated thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Juniper. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Rubbernecker Best Wishes stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin. The card is highlighted with Patina Stickles.
When I first saw this piece of paper I was drawn to the soft teal colour. I didn't really have anything particular in mind until I realized the branch design would be perfect for adding Stickles. I love the simplicity. I went a little overboard with adding the Stickles to the sentiment element as it really would have been enough without them.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Purple Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another rather sophisticated thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Petal. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Paper Accents Glossy Mirror Silver. The sentiment is Close To My Heart A Thousand Thanks stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin. The card is highlighted with Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls.
While I know purple is not for everyone, I think this is a fantastic card! I love the shimmery texture on the printed paper and the glossy mirrored silver just adds to the overall sophistication. The sentiment is quite simple and didn't need any layers to pop. This is a card that just works because of the great printed paper.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Teardrop Thank You
Hello everyone,
This very simple thank you card uses an amazing metal accent.
The card base is French Vanilla Bazzill. The shimmery striped paper is of unknown origin layered on a shimmery copper also of unknown origin. The sentiment is Verve Amazing Wishes stamped in Tsukineko Delicata Metals gold on a white of unknown origin. The filigree teardrop metal embellishment is of unknown origin affixed to the card with an American Crafts Mini Earth Tones Elements brad.
This card is so simple, taking advantage of this phenomenal metal accent that I found at one of my favourite local scrapbooking stores - Crop A While. I love how the pewter colour of the accent pops against the gold and copper. The accent actually moves as I only used the brad to attach it to the card. It was an even better result than I had in mind.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Wavy Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a bright and cheerful thank you card.
The card base is Close To My Heart Sunny Yellow. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Glacier and a white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Verve Celebration of Thanks stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Glacier and Sunny Yellow. The striped flower is of unknown origin.
This is a really happy card and so very different from yesterdays black/white/grey butterfly card. I love the variety of colours in the wavy lines and could have used any number of coordinating colours. I thought the striped fabric flower worked well even though the green colour isn't found on the printed paper. I played with a number of paper punches for layers under the sentiment.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Classy Butterfly
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another thank you card commissioned by a girlfriend.
The white card base is of unknown origin. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Paper Accents Mirrored Glossy Silver. The image is Memory Box Leaf Printed Butterfly heat embossed with Stampin' Up white embossing powder on Recollections black and layered on more Paper Accents Silver. The sentiment is Verve Celebrations of Thanks also heat embossed in white embossing powder. The embellishments are TPC Studio Class Act mini jewels.
This is such a classy, sophisticated card. I love white heat embossing on a dark background. I thought about painting the butterfly in a 'black magic' technique but against the silver and grey, more colour would have been too much contrast. It's a great result as is.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Whimsical Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is another fun and sweet thank you card.
The card base is a white of unknown origin. The printed paper is BasicGrey layered on Stampin' Up Soft Seafoam. The images are Impression Obsession Large and Small Flourishes stamped in Close To My Heart Twilight on a white of unknown origin and layered on Twilight paper. The sentiment is Verve Thankful Accents stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. The card is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
I've always loved BasicGrey papers. They're fun and unique. I was thrilled to coordinate this particular piece with the new Soft Seafoam paper from Stampin' Up. I think this is a colour I'll use much more than I first thought. While these Impression Obsession flourishes are a little more formal than I'd like for this paper, I thought the simple lines would work. It's not too bad in the overall scheme of things.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Fall Plaid Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a great autumn thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Recollections black. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Perfectly Penned stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Recollections black. The card is highlighted with Black Soot Stickles.
I couldn't resist crafting a card with this Halloween plaid. This super simple layout allows for as much of the plaid to show as possible. It was pretty straightforward to choose colours and with only three, I wonder if that is another aspect which makes this card so appealing. The hints of black Stickles are perfect. One of my favourites in this series.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Parisian Thank You
Hello everyone
Today's post is a great vintage card.
The card base paper is of unknown origin. The printed paper is also of unknown origin layered on Recollections Black. The sentiment is Gina K Block Greetings stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on Stampin' Up Shimmery White, and layered on Close To My Heart Cotton Candy. The card is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.
My girlfriend has a real love for Paris, having visited when she was young, and completing a university semester back in the day. I really love the colour combination - pink, black, white and grey are wonderful together. I particularly like them in this vintage style. The hints of shimmer are icing on the cake. It's a great card!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Funky In Pink
Hello everyone,
Today's post is as funky a thank you card as yesterday's was traditional and vintage.
The card base is Recollections white stamped with Stampin' Up Gorgeous Grunge, You've Got This, and Pressed Flowers in Pale Plum, Rose Red, and Close To My Heart Cotton Candy and Hollyhock. The printed paper is of unknown origin. The sentiment is Hero Arts Say It All stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on a white of unknown origin. The card is highlighted with White Opal Liquid Pearls.
My girlfriend has a wide range of clients so this commission has a wide variety of cards. I intended the recipient to be a younger female who would find this grunge-styled card appealing. I like the funkiness! I'm not so thrilled with the Liquid Pearls. It's too many dots and Stickles would have been a better choice. Not the greatest card but not the worst either.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Daisy Thank You
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a lovely delicate floral thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Wisteria Wonder. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Honey and a white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Impression Obsession Greeting die, cut from Close To My Heart Honey. The metal butterfly embellishment is of unknown origin. A Jolee's Boutique Swarovski crystal was affixed to the butterfly.
This card is little more traditional and even a little on the vintage side. I love the random daisies and they are the perfect scale for this sized card. It took me a bit to find a card base colour that worked and I wouldn't normally choose a purple but the daisy petals have a hint of purple and with the white layer, I thought it worked really well. Though you can't really tell, I used the crystal to hide a brad hole because I forgot to add a brad before I'd adhered the paper panel to the card. It works!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Funky Floral
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a wonderfully funky floral thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a white also of unknown origin. The sentiment is Impression Obsession stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on more white of unknown origin and layered on more Bermuda Bay. The card is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
This is a really funky piece of printed paper. It's a really mash of informal flowers using rather formal design elements. I used a circle punch for the sentiment to be consistent with the printed paper. While the flowers on the printed paper are perfect for adding Stickles, I think adding them to the sentiment was probably a little too much.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Colourfully Lined
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a really lovely and very simple thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Stampin' Up Ridinghood Red. The sentiment combines Altenew's Thanks die, cut from Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and Avery Elle's Sentimental stamp set, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on more Very Vanilla. The sentiment is highlighted with Fruit Punch Stickles.
This is a fantastic piece of striped paper. I love the pattern of the lines and the colours offer a wide variety of coordinating options. This is a great sentiment die cut and proved just the perfect size for this square card. I'm very fond of stamped sentiments which fit some of the paper punches that I have as it makes it very easy to center and apply. This particular paper punch is perfect for adding smalls dots of glitter.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Confetti Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a really fun thank you card.
The card base is Recollections Black. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on a ivory also of unknown origin. The sentiment is Hero Arts Thank You Messages stamped in Versafine Onyx Black on more ivory and layered on Close To My Heart Hollyhock. The embellishments are ZVA Creative Crystals.
This printed paper, which I've used on a number of cards as well as a bottle tag, always reminds me of confetti. The darker pink shape in the printed paper is a hexagon so I chose to punch this sentiment with the same shape. The ivory, pink and black elements all speak to one another in a way that just makes me happy. A great, girly thank you card!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

A Modern Touch
Hello everyone,
This post is a great grey and yellow thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Smoky Slate. The printed paper is of unknown origin layered on Close To My Heart Canary. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Four You stamped in Altenew Pure Graphite on a white of unknown origin. The brad is Crafts and is highlighted with Golden Pearl Liquid Pearls.
A former colleague and kindred card maker often crafted grey and yellow cards. I never considering this colour combination before but found it very pleasing. When I found this scrap, I knew it would make a great card for this commission. It strikes me as a little more modern card, especially compared to yesterday's card. I like the contrast of the simple paper with the more flowing font of the sentiment. It was a no-brainer to use a circle brad!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Formal Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's most is a little more formal thank you card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Bravo Burgundy. The printed paper is BasicGrey Oxford layered on Stampin' Up Night of Navy. The sentiment is Joy Crafts 6410/0308 Sayings stamped in Bravo Burgundy on Very Vanilla and layered on more Bravo Burgundy. The card is highlighted with Golden Rod Stickles.
I wanted to include a variety of styles in this thank you card commission and after the less formal alcohol inked cards, I felt something a little more formal was called for. I chose this scrap of BasicGrey because the colours and design were particularly appealing. It really allows for easy colour coordinating. The flowing lines also really suit this Joy Crafts sentiment.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Thank You In Blue
Hello everyone,
Today's thank you card post uses a more subtle piece of alcohol inked glossy paper.
The card base is Stampin' Up Pool Party. The Ranger alcohol inked glossy paper is layered on a white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Avery Elle Sentimental stamped in Altenew Dusk on more white of unknown origin and cut with the coordinating die. The stamped sentiment is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
This is another favourite piece of alcohol inked glossy paper. I just love all the different shades of blue. I believe I used the same technique that I described in yesterday's post. I could probably closely replicate this piece just by using some of the blue alcohol inks in my stash. I really love this Avery Elle set of sentiments and die cuts. The contrast between the flowing lines of the die cut and the simple font of the stamped words is wonderful. A very simple, blue thank you!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Double Take Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's post is a thank you card using a very interesting piece of alcohol inked glossy paper.
The card base is Stampin' Up Pool Party. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Double Take stamped in Altenew Lava Rock and Dusk on Recollections Vanilla and layered on more Pool Party. The sentiment element is layered on a piece of Ranger alcohol inked glossy paper. The card is highlighted with Platinum Liquid Pearls.
Usually when I'm playing with alcohol inks, I do a number of sheets at the same time and put them in my stash to be used at a later date. Based on the results of this piece and if I remember correctly, I applied drops of ink on an acrylic block before pressing the glossy paper down. This technique results in a more blended result which I love. It's a little more subtle. I only wish I remembered which inks I used because this result is especially appealing.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Simple Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's thank you card post uses yet another piece of alcohol inked paper from my stash.
The card base is Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy. The sentiment is Penny Black Thanks, Thanks stamped in Altenew Desert Night on Recollections white and layered on a piece of Ranger alcohol inked glossy paper and more Recollections white. The banners are punched from more Not Quite Navy and are highlighted with Silver Stickles.
This is a very simple layout which uses the white layer and sentiment panel to pop. The minimalist look really highlights the alcohol inked paper. This is a great sentiment which I use often. I also have the happy birthday and baby sentiment stamps. Another great result!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Seeds Of Thanks
Hello everyone,
Today's thank you card post is another alcohol inked card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy. The printed paper is a piece Ranger alcohol inked glossy paper layered on a piece of mirrored silver of unknown origin. The image is Hero Arts Dandelion stamped in Altenew Desert Night on Recollections White and highlighted with Diamond Stickles. The sentiment is Annabelle Sentimental Bluebells also stamped in Desert Night.
This is a favourite stamp and against this alcohol inked glossy paper, it works wonderfully. I really love placing the sentiment along the stem. It's also perfect for adding Stickles. The layer of mirrored silver works beautifully between the card base and somewhat darker 'printed' paper. A great result.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Delightfully Deco
Hello everyone,
Today's thank you card post was a bit of an experiment with a new stamp set.
The card base is Stampin' Up Sahara Sand. The images are Stampin' Up Serene Garden stamped in Stampin' Up Mossy Meadow and Altenew Velvet on an ivory of unknown origin. The butterfly and flowers were cut with the coordinating die and highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Another Thank You also stamped in Mossy Meadow.
I fell in love with this stamp set when I first saw it in the catalog and that it had a coordinating die was even more appealing. That said, the die of the corner elements didn't work as I thought it would and that proved frustrating. It will take a bit of Pinterest searching to figure it out. I still love the all the lines anchored in the corners. I popped up the flowers and butterfly which added some lovely texture. It's a great business thank you card.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Terrifically Tagged
Hello everyone,
Today's thank you card post uses a really interesting piece of alcohol inked glossy paper.
The card base is Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi. The coloured paper is a piece of Ranger alcohol inked glossy paper layered on a white of unknown origin. The sentiment is Inkadinkado Thank You Words stamped in Close To My Heart Peacock on more white. The brad is Crafts highlighted with Mermaid Stickles.
Except for the hints of oranges and brown, this would be a favourite piece of alcohol inked paper. I love using alcohol inks but it is rather hit and miss sometimes. This isn't the worst piece I've ever created but it's far from one I'd try to repeat. Keeping in mind these are business thank you cards, it's a very simple layout and sentiment. I added just a hint of glitter with the brad.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Wordy Thank You
Hello everyone,
Today I'm starting to post a thank you card commission that I got from a girlfriend.
The card base is Stampin' Up Delightful Dijon. The printed paper is Stampin' Up Best Year Ever layered on Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana. The sentiment is Inkadinkado Thanks Words stamped in Stampin' Up Soft Suede on a white of unknown origin and layered on more Delightful Dijon. The sentiment is highlighted with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.
This set of thank you cards is for my girlfriend to give to clients. I kept them all pretty neutral but tried to add just a bit of sparkle or shine as she's a bright and vivacious woman and these cards must reflect her when all is said and done. She didn't give me any specifics except that she liked the square cards. I'm grateful to use up some envelops and some of the solid papers I've got in my stash.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

A Little Note
Hello everyone,
Today's card was crafted for my Aunt who sent me a lovely little 'thinking of you' card and I wanted to return the favour.
The card base is Close To My Heart Colonial White. The printed paper is from a vintage party paper set and is layered on Close To My Heart Glacier. The sentiment is Creative Expressions More Scribbled Sentiments stamped in Altenew Aqualicious.
The package of party papers was gifted by my mother. It contained paper place mats, invitations, napkins and place cards. It probably dates back to the 1970s. I couldn't see using it for a party but it's had a lot of really wonderful images that I harvested. There are literally dozens so you'll see plenty of cards with this type of lovely image.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Rockin' Thanks VII
Hello everyone,
Today's post is the last (really last) teacher thank you card commissioned by a girlfriend in the spring.
The card base is Stampin' Up Baja Breeze. The printed paper is DCWV Rock Star Stack layered on Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is of unknown origin stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and layered on more Chocolate Chip. The brads are of unknown origin.
I really enjoyed crafting these Rockin' Thank You cards. I tried to make cards that the boys would like to give their teachers so not too frou frou. The DCWV Rock Star paper made it really easy. I've no ideas for next year!
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Rockin' Thanks VI
Hello everyone,
Today's post is part of a thank you card commission that one of my girlfriend's requested for her son's teachers in the spring. I blogged the first five cards in April but then she needed two more.
The card base is Stampin' Up Going Grey. The printed paper is DCWV Rock Star Stack layered on Stampin' Up Melon Mambo. The sentiment is Stampin' Up Another Thank You stamped in Altenew Pure Graphite on a white of unknown origin. The ribbon is Offray.
By the time my girlfriend realized she needed a couple more teacher thank you cards, I had to go back to the blog posts from April to make sure I didn't duplicate the printed papers. This was a really fun commission and I hope the teachers were pleased to get them at the end of the school year.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.

Tragic Sympathy
Hello everyone,
Today's post is one of the most difficult sympathy cards I've ever crafted. It is for a colleague whose new born baby tragically passed away earlier this summer.
The image is a recycled baby card layered on Stampin' Up Mint Macaroon and Pink Pirouette. The Mint Macaroon was textured with Crafts-Too Butterflies embossing folder. The sentiment is Verve Forever In Our Heart stamped on Recollections Vanilla in Stampin' Up Soft Suede. The embellishment is Marianne Design Butterflies.
This was a very difficult card to craft. It is rare, in my experience, for babies to pass away in this day and age. When crafting this card I focused on the parents, a very wonderful couple, whose sadness I'm certain knows no bounds. I felt this particular sentiment was especially heartfelt and I hope this card made them feel better, if only for a moment.
Please come back and SPI again soon.

Milestone Anniversary
Hello everyone,
Today's post is an anniversary card that I crafted for a girlfriend's milestone anniversary this past spring.
The card base is Spring Breeze Bazzill. The images are Altenew Painted Flowers stamped on a white of unknown origin in Altenew Permanent Black, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Warm Sunshine and Mango Smoothie. The images were cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment is Serendipity Stamps stamped in Altenew Permanent Black and layered on Stampin' Up Basic Black. The pearl embellishments are of unknown origin.
This card celebrates a fortieth wedding anniversary so it had to be special! I love the soft green card base. It works so lovely with the yellow flowers. The black layer under the sentiment panel really pops! This is one card in which I'm extremely pleased with the embellishment placement. Would that they all worked so perfectly.
I hope you enjoy this card and come back to SPI again soon.
